Yeah I had a dirt cheap opportunity to be one of the very first landowners along the parade at the local Mick back when she first opened - didn't sell too well in the first stage they were pretty much giving them away for a couple of years - just couldn't handle the limestone dust blowing so didn't buy up ... have a gander at what they're worth nowadays

Spew'n, yeah its so nice along there now. Its funny how there are these humble little single stories hidden between the manors. Would love one of them

Your view of the ocean would be very flat today though. Good day for snorkling.

reports were way off. was hard slog for a while with not much luck. paddle to one peak it would break on the other, paddle to the other and broke where I was
water was super dirty filled with lots of floatin weed, was a bit eerie at dawn and when the sun came up it was still black.
last hour managed to get some fun ones. here is hoping for tomorrow

Went back for a few this evening but the wind was well into it and the sun glaring through so decided against the long walk in and are having a beer instead whilst watching the tennis.

That decision came pretty easy hey

A few vary ordinary ones at 4 th. First decent ride I got out

But have definitely fallen in love with my short boards again

4-6 point break. Offshore. Odd barrel. 5 people out for the first 2/3 of the surf. 10 by the end. Swell building all surf and becoming more consistent. I had a new fin in the box and while it was good nice and loose, it was hurting my bad ankle so it put a dampener on the surf. I surf there a lot and it was as good as that joint gets; shame I wasn't on top of my game.

Ummmmm......today? Same place but conditions a little bumpy on the face and word was out. 30 guys on it unfortunately by the end of the surf. Got all the waves I wanted but quite a few were ruined by the slalom course on the inside.

Had an interesting morning.

4am text from Chrispy saying go south as the winds had not been favourable overnight for the northern end.
Meet at LM at 5:45 to a rising tide that just kept rising & rising & rising to a massive king tide.

Surfed for around 3 hours, changed boards from 9'6 to 10'2 as the tide filled, we scored some nice waves, Chrispy did a bit of blocking for me allowing me to score a cracker 4' wave from inside Snapper to the beach.

Then off to see SDR, drop off a board, discuss new board, chat about design, chat about fins, leave with 2 fins to try, a great morning really.

Thanks Chrispy for the laughs and banter.

P.S. Got the inside scoop while in the water about some upcoming McT news. I'd hold off on the 10' NR if I were you mac.

Yeah I'm suggesting he holds off spending his money when they're about to make him a team rider.

That would be super nice if they did Vanders.

Sadly there is no chance for the following reasons.

A- I would only bring them down to kook level which matches my surfing (shut up Chrispy)
B- Their budget would be in disaray

On a less serious note, yep sounds like you guys had a great time this morning, well done boys

I ended up in the water at LM around 8:15 And what a big tide alright.
I ended up sitting just inside the rock at snapper. Got a few inside double ups but couldn't really get into the groove.
There was a drone with a go-pro buzzing over my head for most of the surf ( sounds like a humming bird ) It was taking footage of Steph Gilmore.
She was only out for around 1/2 an hour and the tide just got to full.

I would have seen you guys out there fore sure.

I went and had breaky then went back to check it around 12 but the wind had got up. Watched it for a little bit. Mick Fanning paddled out and made it look better
But it was Mick so I just sat around and watched him get a few

We kept an eye out for you all morning Locky, we weren't far from the drone either when Steph was standing on the rock waiting to jump in. Then she caught a wave and surfed 2m past us, lets just say very tidy indeed!!!!!!

Sorry we missed ya mate.
