Shame wavie

For me all I wear is a vest unless it's blowing then I wear a jacket.

I just have to work out whether to clip the tail through under the boardies or over the boardies. Or maybe go with no boardies.

I'll tell you what blows my tiny little mind... online shopping... Ordered a wettie jacket yesterday morning and it arrived in a courier (free express post) this arvo. $160 down to $56 ... lovely soft rubber .... and yes, yes... a tail that looks like it might need docking some time soon...

You gotta love Surf-stitch..

Maybe a stupid question but not being a long boarder what is the benefit of a jacket Or is it just more the water temp is nice but wind cold

Or is it simply about the look

Yeah it's just a wind thing, water's still quite warm but the cooler winter air and wind just need a bid of deflecting.

Hey JB... For me it's a couple of things: mainly, as you say, nice water temp but cold wind. Also, being a Qlder, it's often all you need, rather than suiting up.

(And a front zip is good for 666 paddling cos you can unzip to cool down if you want to.)

I don't need any assistance in the looks department.

And the other thing for me was that it was $56. I liked others without the tail that were 100 more, but I couldn't justify that. Given there's no stitching along the bottom edge, a sharp Stanley knife could easily convert it to unhipster.

Oh, and the only other ones on sale were TCSS in the colours "apple, sage or tinsel."

They are all Banana Benders and don't need much rubber. I surfed Snapper in July once and got lots of comments about my boardies. Boys are soft. It was as warm as the water gets in our summer. Classic all time session with magnificent barrels. 2 1/2 hours and was just starting to shiver when I came in.

Can you let us know How it is when you're laying on the zip?

I'd cut that tail off..
