bob margetts who's been treating me has been telling me of ages I have a slight herniated lower disc.

after not really believing him because it wasnt really sore. hes right. every time I slump - like over a surfboard, bending over at my building work or the bloody seat in my work car, that foot pain comes on.

looks like a needle to trick the nerve the bit of disc isn't touching it- in rough lay mens terms.

apparently after a while the body eats up that bit of fragment.

in the mean time I have to keep really straight.

I'm starting to feel my age

A mate told me to sit on a folded towel when driving as it brings your hips higher than your knees the old ute seats get a sag after a while it worked a treat.also bought some boots from Kmart and was coming home with aching back chucked some orthotics inside problem solved

Your bloody right. I had a cushion to support the lumber but it did jack. Reading your stuff i turned it around and put the thick end down toward the back of the seat ,sat on itand lar di dar. Heaps better

Its not a worn seat . Just seems the way they do it now.
Thanks

Mick,
I had slouchy, annoying rotator cuff issues in both my shoulders for a long time and finally fixed them with dead hangs.
www.mixedmartialarts.com/forums/UnderGround/Does-this-exercise-cure-99-of-shoulder-pain:2562903
Took a couple of months but now that I see the difference i'm doing them almost every day. Just need something to hang off.

These dead hangs may be helpful, I've only been doing them for 10 days and it's possible that my right shoulder has improved. I just got back from a sesh at Manly with MR and Mick, and for the first time in a very long time, I got out of the water when I wanted to get out, not when my shoulder wanted to quit. Plus I still have a reasonable degreed of neck rotation, usually it's frozen for 2 days.

My biggest problem with them is the arthritis in my left hand, it simply would not allow you to do them for anything more than 10 seconds at a time, so I bought a pair of these thinking that I've probably wasted my money.

https://www.ebay.com.au/i/302382142581?chn=ps&var=601215497963

But they did help, they still place a lot of strain on the left wrist, but I can easily do 70 seconds without too much fuss.

I'll keep it up to see if I get any further improvements.

Thanks mainiac
