Latest offering from King Stingray outta Yirrkala, east Arnhem Land up this way.
Yolngu garage-surf-rock.
It's a ripping tune. Crank it.
Nice one MangoDingo. I'm a fan of the Warumpi Band... nice to see (and hear) the next generation taking the baton and running with it...
I also like Fitzroy Xpress. Bit west of you. Rodeo Road is another cracker, but this one always makes me smile...
+1 Very nice Dingo, I dig it.
This took me a long time to find coz until today I thought it was the Warumpi band. I bought a Triple J Live CD with 2 CD's of high quality live recorded mixed songs in 1996. I converted the cd to mp3 in 2004 when I bought a Hilux with a mp3 stereo. This songs been part of my car playlist ever since. I love the lead guitar, the solo is epic. The didg & banging sticks, singing, everything goes really well together, great song!
The recording below does not capture the great quaility the JJJ version has, but I'll put a link to the bargain CD. $18 for 35 bloody good songs. If you liked 90's OZ rock, this is an essential purchase. The Regurg version of "Like it Like That" is one of my all time favourite songs & I've been listening to this cd for 25 years regularly without tiring of it...cheers ![]()

Greeney - all time selection!
I've got great memories of seeing the mighty Fitzroy Express at the Spinifex Hotel years ago when I was living in Derby.
One of the drunkest evenings I've ever had and an absolute hoot. Biggest mob of countrymen came in from all over the Kimberley and we proceeded to drink old Derby town dry in one evening.
I was running 9 day backpacker tours in a troopy between Broome and Darwin at the time. Geezus - they were good times. Used to crank the Express on high rotation.
And these guys too...

Yes Mick - I know 'em well man!
Another belter of a track and one of Oz's great bands that never really got the acclaim they deserved. I don't think they play much these days - they used to pop up in town here now and then - always great shows with plenty of laughs, loud singing and dance moves that'd shame Elvis - especially after a few hundred Coopers Pales. ![]()
Quick Scomo impression: HOW GOOD IS AUSTRALIA?
Great lyrics ^^^^ as one would expect from the dude who gave us My Island Home. what a great musical journey Neil has taken in his life (this first clip is early 80s (I think), then we have him at Marrickville Bowlo a couple of years ago, singing it in the Indigenous language , then english... bloody legend).
Yep - too right Greeney. I could start an entire Neil Murray thread - he's an absolute legend.
Speaking of legends, here's another one...
