Classic Greeney - How good's Dury - the man was an absolute legend. Nice.
You got me trippin down memory lane, MangoDingo. I was just a lad, but 77 was a hell of a year for music... (not that noise the kids of today listen to hahahaha ![]()

Was gunna say 1984, but probably 1986.
Lived in a brilliant share house.
Young Ones and Alexi Sayle.
We didn't even shut the front door, much less lock it as no one would bother with the place.
Worst house in the best street in Beaumaris, we were invited by a neighbour at 4.00 am one Friday to "Turn off the music and go to bed"
Responded - "Great idea, I need to get up in two hours and go to work.

haha sounds like every house I lived in between 16 (1988) when I first moved out & 22 (1994) when I had a non shared place ![]()
80's was an epic time, totally click with the vibe of those pics ![]()
Evening legends!
Yes - indeed Greeney, the late 70s we're definitely a classic era for tuneage. I'm a massive fan of anything post-punk and any vocalist who anunciates well has got my tick of approval.
Goizus - Ol' Ray Lamontagne's got a set of pipes on him.
Mick - Pretty Vacant - my all time fave for Mr Lydon and co.! And Madness - dude... Exceptionally played mate.
Nozz - those photos are classic. Fark - definitely relate to that vibe growing up on the peninsula- a few Roman beach parties back then, a hundred bevies, then up for the early down to Gunna, or Flinders or wherever had waves. Best of times!
Got me thinkin' about the 80s.
The greatest surf flick at the time was Filthy Habits - From around '87.
Ronnie Burns (RIP) charging Pipe bombs - still stands up today - and the soundtrack was a ripper.
saints fans might like this doco.
Cheers Gyro - cracking yarn that. One of my top ten rekids.
cheers
Here's a cruisy Sunday number from Greg Brown.
Had a mellow surf this morning - clean and small but fun and definitely mellowed me out.
Sorry no clip, but the tune's a solid effort and worth a listen on a Sunday arvo.
