Wow ! Reading between the lines it sounds like he was just purchasing a bit for his so called friends. Not as a massive drug dealer. But it's al the same. That must be the league and AFL side of him. Rugby is clean

With any luck DCE will come to understand that the Titans are bunch of coke sniffing pretenders who won't last the next 3 years and he should continue building his legacy at the mighty Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

He is more than welcome to finish his career as captain / coach of the Currumbin Eagles so that I can walk across the road and watch them on a Sunday arvo.

I think the Suns will be fine I know of two big GC companies who have hosted corporate boxes at the Titans since day one have pulled the pin this year and gone to the Suns,I asked one why, they said better bang for your bucks with the Suns.More supports at home games, more media coverage,I bet the Suns are happy the code hopper left.

While ever the Big money is waved in sport, drugs will be an issue.

Talented guys on the field most are, but intelligence is not an asset all players have, and they get swept up in the moment.

Looking forward to tonight game also Ric...Go you Roosters

I've never dealt drugs but the following may give an indication of why people are attracted to it.
20 years ago you could get a bag (gram) of coke for $200.
A very small time dealer would purchase a ounce of coke for $4K which would be divided into 28 bags (gram) x $200 which equates to a profit of $1600 (5600 - 4000 = $1600).
I'm sure the dealer would have no probs selling 28 bags over Friday and/or Saturday night.
$1600 tax free dollars for 2 nights work max.
Enter the GREED factor and the very smaller dealer sees an opportunity to make more cash and goes higher up the chain and starts shifting a few kg's and the spiral begins.
Easy money and a great lifestyle until they get caught.
Remember, these figures are 20 years ago and to put that $1600 profit into perspective, a 2 bedroom unit a few blocks from Coogee Beach in 1996 would rent for $300.
Today that rent would be $800 p/w.
Based on that, That $1600 would be around $4K in todays value.

I'm not sure what to make of these Titan's players and Hunt and what involvement they had but one thing is for sure they are stupid and naive to say the least.
Some people get a buzz out of dealing or associating with dealers but it was never for me.
I know a few guys who are doing time for a long time and never knew when to quit.

Maybe they should check the Roosters players they were on fire last night, made Manly look very lame in comparison, great to watch even though Manly lost,if Easts build from that watch out.As for the the coke arrests,Id say it goes with the territory- plenty of cash, plenty of down time and you can't put an old head on young shoulders, not good for the game but not surprised at all

Lets say they are found guilty I hope not.

no, I think they will still be able to buy coke.

I can't see the dealers banning them

I would say some past players escaped being caught

That must be Scotty's longest post of all time - and he expects us to read it all

Coke is everywhere in society these days - has been for a (long) number of years. The simple reason why the sports people enjoy it is because its out of their system so quickly - so it evades the drug testers. And its clear that the number of tests done relative to the number of players is small at best. The odds are stacked in their favour.

Never been a fan of Greg Bird. Anyone who illegibly did what he did whilst at the Sharks and tried to pull in his so called mate has had it coming for a while. A shame that this is it. But in a way I almost feel like he has got what he deserved at long last Flame suit on.
