Never fails to deliver great entertainment.

Golden point is **** though. A draw is a result.. Broncos don't deserve to get nothing from that effort

there was very forward pass in one of the Broncoes tries ...should have never got to golden point if the refs were on to it ....

Always the ref's fault.

What about number 6 that dropped the ball in try scoring chance or the 60 missed tackles or the 100 other mistakes per game. I reckon they had just as much impact on the game.

To me. . It's sport there are ups & Downs, bad decisions and a million other things that happen in 80 minutes. For me the result after 80 minutes is the result. Extra time is good entertainment but a draw is a result and both teams deserve something out of it.

Thurston has an interesting suggestion in the news today:
"I think it is a bit unlucky for the team that loses (in extra-time)," he said.
"Someone who gets flogged by 40 gets no points and someone who draws after 80 minutes gets no points.
"After 80 minutes and it's a draw both teams get one point and whoever wins in golden point gets an extra point," he said.

Yes..I agree with JT's comment..have been saying it for years..

NRL need to look seriously at this.

Yeah. It's the best suggestion. They'd have to change a normal game to 3 points for a win aswell.

And then is a draw after extra time 1.5 each?

Just saw JT on the news SP, I think he's saying one point for each team when they draw after 80 minutes, then one more point to the winner after golden point. So in the wash up, all the same points as now for draws (1pt) and for wins (2pts), the only change being that the loser of a golden point game still gets some reward (1pt) for drawing the match in ordinary time.

Also saw the Titans/Knights highlights on the news. It's going to be a long season for some fans.

Oh, ok. That's a bit silly in my opinion. That makes some games worth more then others. A drawn full time game becomes worth 3 but win by a field goal in normal time and you only get 2.

I heard somewhere this Idea. Maybe sterling years ago.

Make each game worth 3 points winner in normal time gets 3.

And golden point is 1 each and the winner of golden point gets 1.

Only problem is what happens if it's a draw after extra time. 1.5 points each or I guess they play to there is a winner. His Idea I think was to drop a player every minute or something.

I'd still be happy to get rid of it.

You shouldn't, they are playing good footy ...

I'm just stoked at the good games already being played along with so many lottery results...instead of the usual crap we hear about they are rusty, forming combinations blah blah...

Nope just good footy os beong played and imo I think the refs have started off ok

Yeah Pup,I've been happy so far with what they're doing, they had the second best defense in the comp last year.most of the teams we expected to fire aren't.It's still only very early days though we can't forget that

I said a two years ago it would happen and I was laughed at.

I always think yes when clubs say no.

Three different home grounds is stupid ,and the only thing I would not support.

The bears have a lot of theb filthy lucre,so let em buy it .

Titans saying no. I'm still saying yes.

Imo the three home ground idea might kill it.

I think it would be good idea. They already have two mega successful clubs so they already know how to run a business.... Which is something I think the coast have failed to do so far... along with the stench that Searle and Co have left the club in.

The nrl.say the Titans and Newcastle will be sold this year , so.let's see.

I was a fan of the NSB,I support the titans for one reason they are local however the GC is one of the worst places for a NRL or national team, as most people are blow ins and have their favourite team just like you and I have.Look at the low numbers who go to the home games on the GC and there is always more away supporters than Titans fans.

What would they call them and if they did have 2 or 3 home grounds I cant see that working towards a solid fan base.
Gold Coast Bears would The Burleigh Bears allow this if they have any say?

Yep you guessed it I have no idea and dont really care to be honest the Titans havent really connected with the GC people.

Hey I didn't say you had no idea. You, like me go to games there and I was a member for 5 years. So as a supporter I was hoping for more than that.

To me the coast needs to be successful stra8ght up just like they did in the early bull Bailey days and the numbers came.

I think what you said Mac sums up why it needs to be successful , so they can build a fan base. There are starting to be more peeps like me now mac (15-20years living on the coast) and the tide is starting to change with the transient nature of the coast. So there are numbers and more kids being born and staying here.

Robina is a failure full stop. No leagues club, your ****ed if you live south, and even where I am it is a freaking pain to travel to.

Also with the bears they would have some access to a lot of players with infrastructure already in place...

The name...like I have already said.. the" bear breasts"

Look at the choices they made. Turned that stupid club in surfers into their so called leagues club... fuctards. Sure you want your players in surfers and nobody went there after the game because we were already struggling to travel to the ground as it was... they really blew it imo trying to compete with the nightclubs

Anyway time will tell....and pull your socks up mac

Your right about the leagues club,it would be great if the had one close to their home ground, not 20 minutes away as it is not with Parkwood,I think it would be great for the fans to get together and watch the away games in the leagues club.
