The real question is, did you score some clean ones on it?
Last nights point swell would have been perfect for mine, was a tad big/hollow for the LB and got belted on a few trying to squeeze her in, the exact waves i ordered her for... ahhh well, she's close ![]()

No mate it was for show n tell only, no power in the waves at all, would have been a real struggle.
I'm sure the same will be the case when I get mine, but I'll be happy to just sit and admire those clean lines, my wife will think I'm insane, I'm find it hard to question her... Well, she is a clinical psychologist after all ![]()
Yes Andy but as we (surfers) know psychology may have an issue understanding the surfers mind. Then again these boards are designed & built by, a BA (Hons) Psych, Grant, so I reckon were covered (up).
Vanders wax her up & wait for the swell, small Wednesday, & get out there & snake 'em on that baby, HA.
No doubt the SUBX is a good performer..but every one I've seen has the simple single colour spray on the rails...
Has anyone seen a SUBX with a more creative colour job..I know he does colour as my Waterskate is double colour..but SUBBYS ?
Two guru's inspecting the new stick, got the tick of approval I think.
You metro Gold Coast blokes. All man bags and boat shoes north of the border. ![]()
Sweet looking stick vanders, any idea of the volume?
No idea of volume SP, Grant doesn't work on volume figures, it's fairly flat in the rocker so this plays a big part in how it paddles & floats me.
Dims are 7'x23x3-1/4 with a meaty tail and nose.
And don't paint all us Qld'ers with the same brush, shorts & thongs is my standard outfit. ![]()
Vanders, did u get out today?? Got mine out at palm beach, sydney, yeah just straighthanders but the odd makeable one, had it set up as a quad SA large. What a different board, same same but different as they say.
Nah mate, no waves to speak of up here, glad you got yours wet though, better than nothing. ![]()
Don't tell me the quad setup is better, I don't have that option. ![]()
![]()
Now I'm away with work for the week so no chance of a wave for me........
Off to the shortboard forum the lot of you, once again Asea told me to say that![]()
I think its more suited to the Mid Length room Mac![]()
Nice board..![]()
Looks like they can't find a home so they decided to dump their rubbish in here![]()
Maybe they could start a room with Goat Boaters![]()
surfbroker..dunno what it is with the sprays..think most blokes go that looks ok that'll do, considering martyn Worthing is doing the sprays you can/could get anything But I'm guilty, same spray & very happy.
Vanders.. don't sweat it that you didn't get then quad option Grant originally designed the SUBX as a single fin. So given you are up in the land of points you'll be in business in no time. Long sweeping power turns off the bottom of a glassy wave, trim down the line, pump it pump, made it, bring it back around, hit the foamball, power up again. yyeeeeeehhhhhaaaa. And this on a 7 footer. You'll be at the doctors asking for more voltarin, for the aches & pains, after the 3 hrs of surf you just had!! Ha. S**t I know I have & in the immortal words of agent 86 Maxwell Smart " And loving it".

That's pumped me up mate, just frothing to get a handle on this thing. ![]()
Vanders..! wet yet..??
Wet mate but not in the best conditions, this is going to take some practice. No trouble on the paddle in its just what happens after that a that's going to take some time. Won't give up though just need suitable waves.

Vanders d-bah is where its at for your Miller imho
Androo..yours turn up yet, pics please.
She's on the way dude, should arrive early this week so hopefully some waves next weekend... Spoke to Grant and he was totally stoked with the spray job, a new one for him... aaaaaaany ways, caaaaaaaaaaaaaaarnt wait!!! YEEEW! ![]()
Just reading on Grant's website about how he's over in Indo now but he's finding it painful to shape due to tennis elbow.
I've often thought that it's no wonder many older shapers decide to use machines for pre-shapes to cut down on the sheer amount of foam they have to mow.
Agree Cuttle..how many tradies would use the tools of yesterday when there have been so many advancements, then again surfboard making at the smaller end of the scale is still the same as it was back in the day ![]()
Ooh, interesting!
It says Made in China on the box!![]()
Hope TNT have been more gentle than they were with my first Miller which arrived dinged!![]()
Well c'mon open the bloody thing!![]()
Open it I'm losing interest![]()
![]()
Yeah.
If u wanna stare at a box I'll go to youporn...![]()
