for those who like to travel, beit interstate or overseas, trips hints without giving haha secret spots up if there are any left.

I'd love to take a few of you to Bali and Hawaii for a boys surf trip.I've done Bali over 30 times and still love that place it like a second home but Hawaii only twice and frothing to get back and maybe there next month, so any hints tips on where to eat sleep surf? I know the main breaks and restaurants but looking for some out of the way places.

Sounds good to me Mac, we're in Bali every year. Usually September, sometimes July. Always school holidays...very keen to do a January trip, havn't done one in a few years & its an epic time to be over there from about 10 days after New Years, otherwise your getting woken up by fireworks every night

Surfing is Playa de las Americas in Tenerife is wonderful! Its the surfing capital of the island and many tourist surfers didnt waste any second to go there! Check this out www.canaryislandsinfo.co.uk/tenerife/places/playa-de-las-americas/ .. There are so many friendly and open people there too. I'll go back there in my next travel definitely. Hope to see you there guys!

i'm planning to go to the goldie in May is the water normally still warm that time of year? won't need a wettie? taking my 8 footer hoping to get some sessions at Kirra rainbow dbah and snapper.

this mind sound a bit out there but.... I've been going to phuket to surf, this year will be my third year. waves are fun but you can't expect too much. last september we had some great sessions. kata beach, kata noi and kalim get good waves are are great for longbords. i took my 510 but hired a 8 and 9 footer a lot. water temp is 30 degrees but you do get onshore a bit due to the monsoon season. reason i like it so much uncrowded in mornings and crowds only surf key beaches surfed kalim and karon by myself for hours. now it's nothing like bali but its good fun and worth looking into if you're looking for a different location. vibe is great but the local thai do drop in and tell u to f off if u complain(personal experience) that's only a few maily its very chilled and heaps of waves available. swell has never let me down on my trips but it can go small for days on end. few vids below I'll post some pics soon. cheers

We really enjoyed Phuket, I'd be happy to go again. We were there in September as well, the end of the Wet season. Gotta go wet season when most days are light onshore or the ocean will resemble a lake. I'd recommend not taking boards & renting from the little surfboard rental place at the South End of Kata beach next to Mama's. Make sure you get a green curry from Mama's while your there too

A few waves my missus filmed when we were there

Hi. Thinking about taking the long oard to Sri Lanka with me later this year. Anyone had any experience with airlines, particularl size restrictions, that they can share. Not sure what airlines, if any, will take a 9" 6 and/or 9'4.

I kinda get Pups comment then I don't. The surf is great the night life is good with plenty of variety.
if it's crowds ,,you live on the goldie surrounded by meth heads and crowds.
