So here's a thought....
If 20-40 yr olds are the largest numbers of cases would they also be the biggest spreaders?
& Hence on the most in need of controls to stop them spreading it to the vulnerable?

There are two types of test kits they are using to test for C19.
One tests for additional antibodys in your blood stream. The body produces antibodys too fight off infection, be it C19 or anything else the body might be fighting. So this test would identify the flu as C19
The other which tests for genetic sequences thought to be C19. Scientists have not isolated the C19 virus yet but have noticed C19 patients have a genetic sequence thought too be C19. Its possible that these sequences could be from previous flu shots or from having the flu & Sars-Covid has been transmitting through the worldwide community for 17 years. So this test could also identify the flu as C19
As a result there will be little too no data to show umbers of peope infected with some form of seasonal flu this year. But your absolutely right that the lockdown would have reduced the number of people with flu/colds.
However we have a debt not seen since the second world war & hundreds of thousands of people out of work. There is a side effect to the response that is far worse than the virus itself. Thats why I have allways said we should focus on protecting those that are at risk of the virus.

The response to C19 was too "flatten the curve" so our hospital system was not over loaded.
