RC loves those Brazo's !

pfffft it was a lottery out there...geez there was a good chance I could have won a few heats it was that bad

Yeah, it's a joke. I thought it was supposed to be the best surfers in the best waves and whoever surfs better wins.
Definitely not the dream tour anymore..

Bring on Tahiti..

I've really struggled to get into this comp,as you guys have said the waves have been rubbish.

Is it me or do you guys think Parko has lost his mojo?

Yeah I agree all round. Beachies suck as a general rule unless they are at places like Hossegor or Porto where you know you are going to get good banks on most tides provided there is some swell.

As for Parko - I reckon he is lucky to have stayed around this long Mac. I believe that he is one of the most stylish surfers of all time - but if you have a look at what he is doing on a wave compared to new kids then he is a long way behind these days. Even MF has tried to enlist an air-game into his repertoire in recent times. Parko just has no idea about that stuff. When the surf is pumping he has every chance to win still - big J-Bay, Clouds, Bells etc but when the comps are on in crappy waves then he pretty much does not stand a chance anymore. Its a sad state of affairs I recond. The comps should be held in great waves. Not crap locations. There are so many good waves around the place yet they persist in hunting down the live audiences. I guess until they work out how they are going to monetise their on-line content then the comps will have to be held in a combination of good waves locations and high populations locations.

I thought parko was a standout during the margs contest especially when it was run in huge main break. He still didn't do well in the comp though

So FT wins it on home soil in waves that Parko has no chance in. Looks like 2 other Brazo's want the glory that Gab had last year. Ahhhhh lets hope not

True true....hopefully we get to see macking waves at all the rest of the events so we can see some real surfing....I reckon RC would be a lock for top ten if every event was held in good waves!!

For me I hate watching the Brazos's sur******e Snooza is probably the one I hate watching the least....I find thier surfing very formulaic and repeatative...its like they have a 3 or 4 moves locked down for the type of wave and then they just put it on repeat....plus I still think that most of them are **** when it gets big...lets face it GM was not taking sets at Chopes he was going the medium size ones eveytime...safety safety safety...were any of them out there on teh big day at Cloudbreak a few years ago or was it just the Aussies, the Hobgoods and Kelly?

SF just ruptured her Ear drum on the last wave of her heat 2. Patched up and surfed round three and won through to Round 5
