Some great waves in the Comp today - Sunset turned it on for the boys. Looked almost fun out there at times. Most times you see footage of that place it looks a bit heavy with Big wide west sets cleaning up the line up.

And the WSL is really just giving it a shot. Tons of guys were shooting without being hassled.

Why do people bring their surfboards to surf contests?
The beach was littered with them, vacationer wannabes, leashes wrapped tightly around tails, turning them into trip-up liabilities. The best was the guy in button-up, pocketed, shorts, boxers peaking from the top. No wax on his deck, no fins in his plugs, a jammed packed ABC store bag dangling from his other hand. He was walking back and forth on the beach. I don’t know what he was thinking

Yes I enjoyed Pipe some great waves before the final.
Yeah, i was flicking Pipe on and off at work and only watched to the Semis.
Looked like there were a few waves but not great Pipe. Shame the final sounds like it was a bit of a dud.
But Nazare was good viewing last night. Victory at sea type stuff. So much water moving around and getting caught inside looked like a nightmare... Congrats to Jamie he got some smokers

I watched most of pipe with the heat on demand.....
I generally get bored watching the big wave comps....but that was wild west in the ocean kinda **** going on. I loved it
