(cSe: Tried to make this work for you but the video does not seem to exist)
Arrawarra - got a couple of good ones and a few like this which rounds out a good surf - Steve
Eagles Nest, a bit windy,a bit choppy, a bit cold but managed to grab a few that put a bit smile on my dial. 3/4 ft ![]()
Have just been an old sup try hard lately.......but today I was a winner.
Makorori Centres with no wind and 4 to 5 foot sets popping up every half hour (wind is the early morning sup enemy at makorori)
Just me out for the first hour and a half. Big steep peaks rearing up and charging off in both directions.
Then Chris Ransley......then more and more people.
Don't know if my camera would have survived.....occasionally crunchy.
Major fun though......standing up tall on the peak.......and then wondering what on earth is going to happen :)
Got greedy, had an arvo session at "F Break" ![]()
That woulda been solid
After not much swell and howling SW winds most of the weekend on the Illawarra Coast. The wind dropped and the swell came up a tad so Gerroa was nice late this afternoon. Only a handful of people on the whole beach.![]()

Big shifty lumps, last wave was a late drop tail slide with a few nice turns. Go home time after that .![]()
I was lucky enough to get out on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday with DeanRobi - nice video Dean (how is your mate's head?) - and then get away to the Prom with totally uncrowded waves. I used two cameras to check my bottom turns - still have a lot of work to do...
My ribs still hurt from the last wave ![]()
Hey cantSUPenough, good call on the prom trip, swell dropped here yesterday, poor old Andrew is still in the Alfred Hospital, with spinal cord/damaged disks issues, could have been a lot worst

Wow - that's serious!! For anyone reading, Andrew wiped out and then his board shot in the air and the strong wind blew it back and his fins hit his head! He said he was lying face down in the water and could not move! He managed to roll over and call out, but could still barely move. A few of us were close by and paddled over to help him. Feeling and movement slowly returned to his limbs, but being in the impact zone we had to get him on his board and off to the shore. Dean and I got him to shore and he was just "OK", so Dean walked him back to his car for collection by his wife. That's why I was wearing the helmet at the prom!
No surf today.....so a paddle around the shipping buoys on the Bic Wing was almost compulsory The dog a tad indignant the wind did not obey the forecast and he got splashed a bit on the way back ![]()
