Interesting to see that its a soloshot 2 & it does not appear to be panning down as you near the camera. They're meant to pan up/down as well...but yeah...I think you've got the cam synced pretty well perfect. Just got the camera zoomed in way too close.
Think you hit the nail on the head. The LEDs stopped working on the tag so I sent an email to Soloshot with vids of the tilt issues and they are replacing the tag and base.
Basically I set up at beach level then go down to the water and the Soloshot does not follow me down only in pan. Fingers crossed new unit solves the issue.
Can you shut off the Soloshot between waves and turn it back on right before catching a wave so you don't burn through the battery and the memory?

Yep that is what the tag does. 4 hours of recording
It looks windy Hilly but definitly not crap.
It is all a matter of perspective, compared to what I got later it was.
Soloshot were awesome air bagged me a new base and tag.
Tried it for a short time in some less than stellar waves. Much better centering
No cropping this time.
Hard to see from the vid but there was dry reef sticking out and a lot of bump.
