Like other topics from SeaBreeze I love to read those topics more than I can leave a response as Aera10 reckons to do it. So I like to thumb , I did it rarely back and most of the time I still do it forth. But rather than an extended literal response which I'm not able to do it I would better leave as response :
One recording sound file of my primal sound of voice or the sound of my paddle banging my hull

Can I have this translated please

I think you are all way over thinking this issue, red thumbs green thumbs who cares, at the end of the day its what a person has to say that matters the thumbs are just a small side note that has very little effect on the actual message

I think admin got rid of the thumbs because the kite surfers were going crazy with them, if any of you have ventured over to the kite forum you will see it's basically just a massive troll fest, a lot of people would get red thumbs on every post regardless of what they had to say which really just serves to make them meaningless anyway.

Bring back the red thumbs and long live the trolls I say !!
At least it's fun that way

So you paddle out to the lineup and a guy gives you the finger, do you want to know why or do you just pretend it doesn't affect you because he didn't verbally say anything.

Do I really need to explain to you the difference between the Internet and real life?

Man I miss those thumbs right now!!

Hey guess what husq2100? Your reply meets the definition of trolling, inflammatory comment (clowns) and off topic (pokemons). Congratulations, your a Troll.

I doubt anyone is worrying about the green or red thumb issue and when it comes to being attacked by a troll I would much rather THEY hit the red thumb button with no reply.

So what you want is to be able to add negativity to a thread without effort or ownership, and your contribution to this SUP forum is to start a topic (off topic of SUP) about being able to be a silent sideline cheerleader hiding in the bushes looking for secret red pokemons...

This, I guess, shows why red thumbs are bad: If micksmith had just redthumbed Kami, it would have meant nothing: we would not know what he was objecting to.

With green thumbs only, people can still voice why they disagree, and other can greenthumb their posts if they want to. Thus you get both meaningful disagreements, and a way to not drown the discussion with tons of "+1" posts. And people like Kami who do not feel like (or feel capable of) writing a articulate argument, can just greenthumb the ones they agree on.

... and as you can see, nobody has greenthumbed micksmith's post... which is quite meaningful :-)

PS: One solution could be very specific red thumbs, e.g: this is pimping, this is a warranty issue that should be solved with the dealer first, this is just troll bait. But I dont think it is worth the trouble, lets keep things simple. Just greenthumb the posts you agree on, or create one if you want to say something different than what has been posted up to now... so that others can greenthumb it.

Yeah, kind of missed the pokemon craze and since I am the OP you can choose to ignore it if you think the topic subject is irrelevant.

Warming to your argument colas, maybe just green thumbs, the absence of green thumbs has the same effect, well said.

Yes I did, probably not coming back because we are all happier without them according to seabreeze HQ.

Think of it like getting rid of the anonymous complaints box. No complaints, everybody happy
