Sailing Whitsunday for a month in Jan 2020, Apollo was very busy. Seen her nearly every day. I wonder, what would be current situation.

If I were to get a cruiser, a pilothouse would be a must.

I already have a bit if a fleet so unfortunately won't be considering this great little daysailer...

Cole 23 on a nice trailer. A friend of mine owns this and has decided to sell it as it just does not get used. He has owned it a long time and has just thrown money at it!

Yes I posted the S+S36 here on 24th March

Agree a shed is needed for Hobart.

That daysailer is a pearler.

That boat has been for sale for quite a while. Seems perfect as a harbour racer. Not sure how I feel about the sail clip on the backstay!

Yup, mentioned it a couple of weeks ago. I would certainly buy it if I did not have the SS34. Probably a faster all rounder than most other 33-34 footers.

What do you think of this Fraser 36? The ad is vague on the date "approx 1980"' looks like a seventies boat to me. I love the look of the cutter rig but is it just harder to handle? We are looking for a family cruiser in this price rang and size.

Never heard of the Fraser 36 but found these links; the first and 3rd don't mention the 36 but give background on the builders and the other models built in Canada. A summary seems to be well built solid grp hulls but owner fit outs vary as would be expected.

Good summary of benefits and some drawbacks of cutter rigs here;

New one on me:

www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/safety-bay/motorboats-powerboats/20ft-power-boat-with-suzuki-outboard-on-lic-trailer/127140453

Take the keel, mast and all the rigging off a Red Witch then put a motor on the back?

Wonder how it goes.

That one was refloated in Iluka last week, had been on the bottom for a month. It was odd that it sunk as Iluka is sheltered from flood waters,

Probably had comprehensive insurance. Remember all those work utes caught in the floods up the North coast. Strange how they could not have been driven to high ground before the floods!

Some years ago I assisted a Seabreezer with an S&S36. He was new to sailing and trying to get up the coast and had quite a few problems.
As an ex S&S34 owner I have to say I thought the 36 was a very fine solo/short handed boat. If I was to get another boat, which I'm not, it would be a contender.
I'm getting used to sailing on other peoples boats.

Hmmm, unlike those of us moored in the river proper that extended mooring rode and fended the odd log. Some boats did drag moorings in Grafton, no doubt due to lack of attendance, but a glass boat in the middle of an otherwise unaffected mooring field, could blocked cockpit drains be the culprit ?

..and one more I found (the gems on Facebook marketplace!)

Does anyone remember these? They came out at the peak of Australia II hysteria in mid 80ies.
