Hey Simon,

Kiting did happen today at "peggies" but f..uck you had to be quick.

Big Fred and Stumpy scored both with kites and SUP.

Bugger, I missed as well. Wind was good for work, so no major issues.

Tuesday looks the goods.. see you guys then.

Was a lot of waiting around for a non event.
Just sold both my edges. Just got c4 and big core left now. Demo time :)

Kurnell is off-shore in a southerly. Dolls point would work, and the rest of the Ramsgate carparks are good so long as the wind doesn't have a westerly component.

Illawarra; nothing but green arrows and swell from saturday onwards...
Swell looks decent on the charts from the SE, wind from the S.
Better checkout somewhere new i thinks...

God i hope it comes as forecast.

Hey Matt and "others"

Have you seen the latest GFS, ie 10.00am Friday 11 April.
Brown arrows = 40 kts.

Hope you have a good small kite. I have 2.5 sq m and a 4 sq m.

The 64$ question is where to kite ??

Yesterday the weather was pretty fowl, so decided to head to Windang Island...
It was pretty big and wind looked suss. Up and down, and pretty offshore.

I wasnt driving all that way to sit on the beach, out I go...

Only got a couple, wind was just super on and off. I was pulling through my 6 and the waves were hitting the beach faster then i could kite towards it...

I was heading in and the whitewash caught up to my and my lines went slack >>> kite in the water. Released both safeties, but I heard the centre strut blow... Had a bit of a body surf in...

As I always say once I've just kited Windang... "what a f'''in **** of a spot"...
The wind just swirls and does its own thing.
At one stage when I was out there I looked around and noticed the water went glassy!

There HAS to be a better spot for some side shore wave riding... it seems as soon as the is a little bit of SW to it, it just goes to ****...
Oh well, at least it was a better than sitting in front of the idiot box.
Cheers to Dave (Mini) for coming and snapping a few pics off!

Glad I was not the only one to hit it Matt.

Tried "peggies" on Saturday, wind was gusty as hell and swell totally missing the reef.

Upon coming in my kite did a similar situation to yours but I was right on the shore so an easy retrieval.

Looks like this winter pattern is with us for the entire week. Bummer...

i was wondering what Peggies would of been like on my way to Windang.
i guessed it was probably a little gusty coming off the land there...?

the search continues...

This was today @ KIANGA just north of Narooma, hard to see but clean waves peeling right (out at the point) on my 10mtr cat just wish I had a 12mtr reo at hand could have stayed out much longer,

1st time I've kited that flat, beats Botany any day, the whole day was gusting but not on and off, it was the start of the southerly front we had, waves picked up pretty quick later on but I reckon you ^^ would have killed it judging by photos
