Strange that the switch kites get a bagging, I don't personally own them, but have ridden them on loan from locals, if you look at the quality of stitching and general build, you put them up amongst the bigger brands, I found the mk1 nitro very rebel or edge style and the mk2 and 3 as powerfull but with that rapid movement , plenty of great kites around without the big brand price tag,

It's possible that people bag switch because their marketing involves getting 'sponsored' riders to pimp switch gear x number of times per month on kite forums.
Folk here have a low tolerance for that.
(disclaimer: I've never ridden one, couldn't tell you if they are good, bad or otherwise)

I think you mean "team riders" who get a discount on their gear in return for some positive reviews and posting on the product every month.
