Most people in Hawai'i would call it three feet, I'm a bit more lenient and call it three to four. Looks like a fun setup for sure.
Don't worry plummet Hawaiians would call it 3 foot because they don't talk it up because it increases crowds. But if you don't ind that then go for it and call it 6 to 8.
Personally if it was my home break I would prefer you call it 2 foot
It looks like a very short period may be 10s or something, not that that matters as I have been pummelled by 10s period cyclone swells and they still have plenty of power.
Here's my wave section from a couple of weeks back.
So... How big a these waves?
Based on last years WA measurement, at least 20 foot!!!
It's actually a real question. What size are they?
I'm thinking 1.5 head. 5-6 foot Hawian? . People size waves so differently.
lol
Really, there's only 2 forms of measurement; normal surfers measurement and kook measurement.
In normal surfers measure it would be about 3 foot. In kook measure 5-6 feet.
Where are you taking your 3 foot measure from? which kiter? If you look at the left most kiter you can just make out his head, he is riding at the bottom of the wave. So the wave the left hand kiter is on is easily double head. Do you call double head, 3 foot?
Sorry Plummet but I can't see anyone riding any waves in this photo.
