Worried the Dynabar can't cope with the load - and then it'll be something else I have to fix. I've already broken 3 Dakine spreader bars... not much of an achievement, I know

... for a seat harness that doesn't give me wedgies or a waist harness that doesn't end up in my armpits.

Really gets me down, especially when the session is not going well

North Transformer. Waist harness with leg straps. No wedgies and no lifting under armpit. The leg straps are only there to hold it down, it's a normal waist harness.

Or the flying objects equivalent. I use it sets the hook between a waist and a seat. No wedgies no riding up.

Then again used a mystic warrior waist the other day damn that was so comfortable and so light!!

I also have a waist for the surf.

Ya just beat me eppo happy to go halves in the 1k tho , the flying objects combo harness is what you're after, no more wedges , riding up , done 20 days straight using this harness in windy stuff . Mate has the transformer and I reckon this design is better . Cons bit light construction stitching has come undone on mine but still a season or 2 left in it. Not worried because it works will happily buy another .

Mine broke at the weld? Good system though. Now I just use a waist in the surf, want to keep it simple. But yes they work really well.

I have a mystic warrior 3 and a dynabar. I jump the bejeezes out of it and no issues. I have broken a dakine spreader, and that was not pretty. Lucky no one or my kite was cut. Sheered off on a pretty good jump and i fell out of the sky. I couldn't figure out what happened til I got to the beach. The mystic is a great harness, but I would be looking at an engine next time. Can't get much better than a custom mold of your back.

They had that problem and fixed it with nuts now, IIRC.

I like how they do their leg straps - loops around the leg and the straps go up to the spread bar, so load trying to pull the SB is transferred to the legs. Not the crack of your ass.

I'd like a Dynabar, but not sure I want something else to maintain...

Transformer seat part just vecros onto the harness, doesn't it? How does that work?

Oh okay cool. That was my thinking, another piece of equipement to maintain, keep it simple. But they do work really well in the surf though. Probably worth it in the end.

+1 for the ENGINE harness
custom made to your size and molded to your back, NO movement
just takes a while for him to get it to you
had mine 7 months, best harness ever

and he has his own bar set-up if you want as well but cost extra, carbon fiber i think?

Sure! Those things work for you... which means they probably won't work for me.

I've got some options to look at, but they're very long-term ie. when I lose the beer belly and get some lats.

Dude... what? How does that work?

Gets up to 40??C here in the summer and humid as a bastard... too hot wearing a t-shirt :o

...

Went out today for an hour before work, riding the Renegade harness... better session, it never ended up in my armpits but I did it up SO tight - that when the spreader bar did move, I nearly brought up lunch Still, every 5 minutes I was trying to wriggle it down just a bit further

Lot more of an abs workout than the seat though eh!

Maybe they were better made back then... my first Fusion lasted 2 years. The next had to be sent back because it wasn't put together properly (!) and the one that replaced it lasted a year. Hoping this one wont last just 6 months
