I don't get the timing of the withdrawal.
Opium is an Autumn crop. Wouldn't it be easier to bring it back on mercy flights.

another things to consider:
crowds waiting for flights.
Now is only one in life time occasion for any Afgan to have a free ride to the western country.
In normal conditions there is no chance to get visas , immigration grants to modern country
For people living at $2 a day that is one in life time opportunity to emigrate .
So whole airport gridlock may not be only due to people escaping from Taliban but looking for new chance in life.
Obviously,. asking them for reason is pointless ,because they need to prove to you that escaping from Taliban is only concern and paint conditions in Afganistan as unbearable. Sometimes cheaper for us could be sending those planes full of food so people could stay where are they already... instead pof bringing them here...

Are you serious, have you not seen the footage from both the last time that the Taliban took power and the current version of the same events. To say that the suggestions put are cynical is the most polite response that any balanced person can put forward.

I don't get why we haven't been buying their whole crop for years. If you wanted to cut the terrorists off at the knees that was their biggest source of revenue. Why are we growing it in Tasmania?
If our gaols are full of drug criminals we could kill two birds with one stone. Instead of locking dangerous criminals up, we could be providing them with a chemical straitjacket to keep them under control. And at the same time we would be providing the afghanis with a nice export industry.

Since the basic income is about $2 a day in Afganistan,

why to fund them shoes factory, brushes and brooms manufactures, sewing and knitting. If labor is cheaper then Malesia , Philippines or China, why they need to relay on International funds and drugs export.

How many of those you could set up for 2 trillion dollars?
then you could buy and sell at profit so you have 4 trillion in return. We should send Jeff Bezos and Amazon eBay and Gumtree even ,not military contractors in first place.

Considering that you have chosen to not answer this simple question, one has to assume that your information is sourced from the same source as your cupcake's advertised previously.

If we want to stop the Taliban we can just ask Pfizer not to send any Vax. According to the other thread they'd all be dead in no time.
