Ah thats all smoke and mirrors. Im sure behind closed doors respective parties are working through the spin. "Look we gotta say something here, you guys stop importing crayfish and wine and other crap like that and while the media goes to town we can still send you the iron ore and gas and other agricultural essentials" and you keep sending us your value added consumer products".

ps a better pic would have been a toyota or better a big mitsi" truck running over a roo lol.

That could be quite unfair comparison
Great Wall4 WD 1500 kg vs 50kg Roo

I have got brilliant idea!

If we could send two of our frigates now onto Chinese sea and they both bump each other be mistake and sink instantly
in the shallow water near our Islands claimed by Chinese from sea bottom. Isn't ship represent national sovereign territory wherever it is?Yep, now we can have this pretext to visit our ship wrack to do some snorkeling and holiday visits.

If we could get only our frigates inside safely and then sink !

Beautiful place to visit ship wrack , kids and pets friendly too ...

Why thank you, for showing your true colours and complete inability to indulge in inteligent discourse, and all before beer oclock.
Oh wait, perhaps it is beer oclock in china.

I think I have learned not to venture into a 'Macro created thread'. Even this post is very very dangerous. I should delete it before he sees it and starts posting more and more offensive images.

Yep, I love too and what worry me the most, when military is peaking into our civilian space program ,
now leading by Elon Must, SpaceX
in order to build more more rockets cheaper to send more bombs everywhere.
I wish we could rather colonize Moon first and Mars in our life time !!!There is plenty of land over there in the sky for grab, so we don't need to fight for every grain of sand here on Earth.
The biggest of all gold mine is waiting .
First come , first served but there is again enough left for the rest of late comers to feed over next few centuries.

As to technical question,
we should be asking rather how we are going to cut off piece of this solid metal asteroid ?
instead of cutting our planet into pieces.

nerdist.com/article/nasa-studying-goldmine-asteroid-700-quintillion-dollars/

Any ideas how you could cut a piece of such solid metal, size that you could carry back to home and sell or do something with?

Micro, this may be of interest to you,
The maximum penalty for using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence is 3 years' imprisonment.
Would probably impact the service provider as well.
Given that you are unable to even quote others without making up the content and serving up insults intersperced with fanciful ignorance, perhaps it is time to give it up.

maybe this time Afgan people wants to dig something for themselves ? If you ask Gen Petreus and John Biden, will tell you the same? US didn't lost the war against Taliban but Afgan people refuted unwelcome foreigners?
So Biden decides doesn't make sense to pretend anymore?

too quickly?
Before we jump to a conclusion and :
1) accuse Pres.J Biden of not being a wise man, and his NSA advisors the same
2)Afgan security forces and army to be cowards
3) Afgan people ungrateful

consider the following logic on all /triple sides

Looking at the outcome there is consensus that the fall of the Afgan government was unavoidable after the coalition withdraws.
JUst a matter of time.

So all three sides did the following calculation

a) do we want to have all buildings ruined, cities turned into dust, infrastructure destroyed, hundreds of thousands of people died in the next month or two. Is Syria like a place where people have nothing to live in and off? After a prolonged but lost war against Talibs, those people will have no place to live,. everything was destroyed, families were decimated.

b) calmly accept the faith with the hope that something will change and improve in the future. But at least everybody there ( almost) is having that future.

Obviously, our other first war admirals will rather see all died on trenches giving up hundreds of thousand souls in one day . But that was exactly a hundred years ago....

may have no doubt, Afgan people have/now TV ( had till now at least) and did learn the English language to see the world news.
They may not like such a future. Pres. J Biden may have saved hundreds of thousand people, save the country from total ruin! Now when listening to mass media comments and news, let us see the bigger picture.

Biden failed in every way possible

He needed to plan this withdrawal. He did not. In fact, he had a plan but decided not to use it, because it was from the previous administration. He wanted out before 9/11 because he thought it would give him a cool legacy.

He needs to be impeached 4 times, no.... make that 5 times over this. There needs to be full investigation, there needs to be lots of resignation and court marshals. Heads needs to roll over this biggest failure of foreign policy in America's history.

I propose the withdrawal is based on "are the taliban a threat to america anymore". Id say intelligence on the ground says no. Until it becomes a sovereign threat then no point in being there. Again, as per the post title - whose is next?

Humanitarian issues are a by product of the war machine ticking along. No war, no money - time to leave.

Maybe its time for china to have a crack at Afghanistan. Lol. All other super powers have failed thus far except for those being paid to arm the respective war machines of course.

Could you imagine now what could be Boeing and the rest of the defense sector stock prices
in the year 2031 if the US will not carry out any war anywhere in the world!

one may expect that due to global pandemic and slowing economy
the war effort should be now doubled or tripled to keep the stock market going, investment profit rising.

But there is something, should get us thinking and worry about.
We don't like China,
China won't like us either but like the Taliban now,
Taliban like money, China has plenty of money

www.cnbc.com/2021/08/17/taliban-in-afghanistan-china-may-exploit-rare-earth-metals-analyst-says.html

nobody will draw a connection between the Taliban striking on us and sponsor
like nobody did against Arab countries in the past.

If Talibanis had been smart enough to win a fight,
maybe they are wise enough to win a war?
By simply :
1) creating new newspaper Talibanis Women Weekly
2) School of cooking classes for all girls

they could throw away the main arguments from wester opposition.

Just by listening to our media they could throw all arguments one by one:
-don't execute people for while
-recognize right of women -because no nation without women could not exist anyway
-give access to education to all people
-suspend or withdraw plans for expansion of their happy land vision to rest of the world

Compliance with basic human right could be cheaper for them then constant military's effort ,
the same possibly may apply to the western side- leaving in peace- could be wise too ...
