Did I hear that we might be getting DLS back again
Make it snappy, like next week
No I don't ride a bike early in the morning without lights
Flame suit on & ready
problem with the last trial was it went until april or something or other. This alienated the try hard morning exercise queens in their Lycra.
Man it was good packing up at 730/8 at night after you've been out for 3 hours or so.

It was soooo good kiting til the sun went down and then you could crawl into bed after a beer and a feed.
Mornings are wasted on me...
(Like who the F**k needs light at 7am!)
Well at the of summer there is plenty of light still at 7am with daylight saving, to keep the morning try hard yuppy, look at me training for a really expensive and pointless organised sport. I suspect the trial went so late into autumn for a reason, to make it fail. 723 right now, pretty much dark. Wasted hours, so some pretentous clarement wankers (influential wankers) can do their run for the gay boy triathlon on the weekend.
Stick daylight saving. We have enough time in summer as it is. We need it in winter. So fark daylight saving
At the risk of being hammered, I hate daylight savings. We already get most of the practical effect of daylight savings due to our geographical position within our time zone. And no, before the smart arse comments, I'm not worried about my curtains fading.
How many times must it be voted on and fail before people can accept that the majority just dont want It. I love kiting, totally addicted to it, but still don't want daylight saving.
^^^ spot on
Plus, try to get kids to sleep at 7:30pm when it is full sunlight and still 35deg. Not fun.
As a windsurfer yeah I want it for selfish reasons but I vote no as it is ridiculous given our WA climate.
If you work 9-5 and wanna sail /kite, ask for 8-4.
If you run a bazillion dollar national business doing stuff with the East, get all your workers to do 6am-2pm. They will thank you for the no traffic ans ease of parking.
Not one argument for it really works IMHO, and the repeated no votes show it.
Wah Wah Wah kids....block out blinds, air con and phernergan...knocks em for six!!!
fark no daylight saving I say...lol
How do those northern hemisphere kids go to sleep when the sun doesn't set until 11pm and is back up at 4am.
Won't some body think of the children!
Wankers.
As for kids
If they'd have had daylight saving when the pub shut
Then you might not of gone home with miss bull dog that night![]()
Bring it on!
Solution for kids is : curtains, aircon, fans, and discipline
!
By the way how do you keep them in bed in the morning when it is daylight at 4:30 am?

The same block out blinds apparently no-one has?
Be nice to be able to manage your start and end times for work. Most don't have that luxury i would say.
So even after a THREE YEAR trial where the overwhelming vote at the end of it was a NO, NO, NO MORE! some noddy has decided to bring this **** up again? Democracy, pfft! That's probably the first time I've locked caps in this forum...
Daylight saving is for lazy buggers that can't get out of bed.
More need for it in winter if you must.
Biggest problem I have with it is, In the morning I get to the bus stop and then get an erection.![]()
I finish work at 5pm and have no choice about it. I have to rush to the beach to get a short session in.
If we had daylight savings I would have an extra hour of wind.
BRING ON DAYLIGHT SAVINGS (and the republic while we are at it.)
Cheers
Joe

Simple, It aint 40 degrees at 4.30 in the morning.
One of the arguments regularly used by the DS lobby like the Sunday times is "It would be great so we can take the kids down the beach after work in summer" Every year the Sunday times brings it up. I haven't figured out how they will make more money when it comes in but they arent hammering it for their readers benefit Im sure.
Not sure bout anyone else but unless you are a kite/wind surfer the beaches in Gero are empty in the arvo's 9 days out of 10. If you like daylight savings simple build a bridge or go east. Simple really.

When was the last time you had 40 degree at 4:30 in the morning?
We're getting 14 hours of light at the moment, and it only gets longer as we head into summer. If people can't sort their lives out to fit in some beach time within that without messing with the clocks, then they need to move to the UK for a bit of perspective...
...it only gets longer as we head into summer.
Really? I thought daylight hours had something to do with solstices.
...and now I'm stuck thinking about the last three letters of you user![]()
^^ Days get longer between June and Dec (solstice). We're in Nov and heading into summer, so days are getting longer. Longest day is about Dec 22-23. That's how I understand it. Tits are nice.
Get on board WA....bunch of whinging FIFO CUB's...hows your Sunday trading going?
Why does it concern you? Different coast, different needs, get over yourself.
This is like the Republic vote. They run a referendum to find out what the public wants, and then get a 'no', and then ask for another vote.
What's wrong with WA? Most people don't want it. A trial was run to see if people would like it after they tried it, and they still said no. It doesn't get any more negative than that.

WTF are you on about felix I said it's not 40 degrees at 4.30am. But I remember it being 40 at 9pm when we had daylight saving.
