A broad trough of low pressure extends along the Pilbara coast. A tropical low is likely to move into the Kimberley from the Northern Territory during the middle of the week.

A high pressure system to the south east extends a ridge over the south coast. A west coast trough will start to move inland as a weak cold front brushes the south coast this evening. Another ridge will build over southern WA in the wake of the trough.
