OK guys pulled the trigger and will give the HPS1050 a go with a 86 carbon mast.

If I like it and depending on the performance, lowend and highend I could complete the setup with HPS930 and/or 1300, and could also go the 860 way or whatever suits the conditions as there are so many options.

Thanks for the good info

Great choice for your weight, keen to hear more about the 1050 and top speeds. What tail did you get ?

For strong winds you should downsize a bit more e.g. HPS880 or a small BSC - haven't tried either in smaller sizes though.

with the 420

Yes I've been told to go for the 1050 + 880 but I am mentally not ready to ride a 1000cm? wing, I know we can't only judge a wing on its surface anymore but I guess I need some time

A friend is going for 980/880 so I will give it a go before buying smaller

I will keep you posted

well it is all for sale: 1050, 890,420, 440, fuze short, mast 860

I takes too much effort to get on the foil for my 50y and 105kg. This all setup could be nice for a 80kg rider no doubt.

If I want a bigger foil I need an extra fuze...
I tried the HPS700 for kiting allowing only one mast, fuze and stab with 2 (or 3) frontwings to cover my wing+kite needs but I didn't like it
Tried the BSC890 to see if it was easier but no.

So back to my Moses 1100 + 633 for kiting and I just completed with a 950 for higher wind. One mast, one fuze.

Every time I am on this setup I have a blast, barely fall, catch a lot of waves, etc.
Everytime I try new highend stuff I struggle...

What hand wing size are you using? It's important to have a good big wing to get going. Once up the 1050 is a gliding machine and the most stable front wing I've ever used.... Last summer I clocked a 1h23 session in light winds on the 1050 with no touch down/fall

Which top speed have you hit in the 1050? Wonder how much faster than my 1010 can it be.

I didn't really measure my speed but it is faster then my moses 1100 (no surprise there) but it doesn't FEEL faster if you know what I mean.
I find the 1050 with 420 not stable enough for me at my current level
Tried with 440 and it felt slow.
I had somethimes very strange falls when the foil suddenly came out of the water with no reason.
BSC890 I didn't like it at all
Probably great foils but just not my cup of tea I guess as a lot of people like it.

RIding the 1100 and 790 (950 to come) just puts a big smile on my face.

Also consider I couldn't find anything as good as my 633 for kiting. This wing is fabulous (with 425 stab, 483 sucks)

Wings: Slingwing 6,4 which is not the most powerfull. Strikes for smaller sizes. Waiting for a 6m Strike.

My board is also not optimal for HA wings: big bevels and kicktail, double concave into a huge concave. So it was difficult building speed as it doen't glide...
