I own the 6.4 m2 slingwing, and use it a lot for lite wind conditions. It's been a good wing. My only complaint is the reach from the front handle to the back one is a little wide for my arm span. I realize slingshot was trying to keep weigh down, but it would be nice if there were one additional handle. Overall, it has a lot of power to get my 90 kgs off the water.
Make yourself a bar to fit between the handles. I have an Armstrong "power link" and when I forget to put it on I immediately go get it. There's a thread in this site somewhere that talks about DIY versions.
Takoon 6m wing is super light and stable. And came on top of ozone and f-one in French wingsurf mag test for large wings. Naish and DuoTone did poorly in this test btw.
Prices are super sharp too as they offer direct sales only.
I have a 6 and tested it against an ensis 5.2 and 6. The ensis was very powerful in low speed acceleration. The Takoon not far behind in that dept. But the Takoon has a more stable feel to it low and high end speeds. The stability allowed me to use it in high winds when others had to switch wings.
I love this wing! Planning to get a smaller 3 or 4.

Have you got a link to the Windsurf mag test? I read the French test of several 4m wings which Takoon and F-one did the best in.
BTW, I have the Takoon 4m (also sling 6.4) and its a brilliant little wing. It's really powerful for a 4m, light and soooo easy to use. I'd like the handles to be a bit thinner but I can live with that!
Buy one of each V2 or 3, test and pick the best one. ;). Sorry, couldn't resist based on the compilation of post above.
I think you made a solid call. Btw, Supboarder Mag has one of the better test of wings. Hoping some other entities do the same. It's feeling like the SUP board craze where everybody and his brother is cashing in.
What is "North"? Duotone used to be North.
North Sails was the parent company, now called North Technology Group. It was mainly involved in America's cup racing sail design. They hired the lead kite designer from Cabrina, and stopped licensing their name. Older North models (up to 2018) were made by a German company (Boards & More) in the same factory as their other brand Duotone, but branded with North logo. So the newer stuff is actually North. The older stuff is technically Duotone. Make sense ?

A buddy has the Takoon wing and loves it. He previously used Slingshot and Ozone.
