I've got an 105l omen supermarine and and a 55l emissary. I'm 80kg. I learned to foil on the supermarine and fell in love with the board. But then I really fell in love with the emissary. The jump from the supermarine to the emissary was not as hard as I anticipated. First session on it was a challenging getting as it was my first try at a stinkbug start. But once the wing is up the board gets up on foil so easy. It is so responsive and carving ability is definitely in a different league than the supermarine. I'm now always just trying to carve and turn as fast and hard as I can possibly go. I suspect my only slight about the 90-105l supermarine would be the weight compared to other constructions. But I'm happy to trade weight for the appletree construction.
Which board should I get to replace my 85L Naish Hover for all-around wingfoiling? The Omen Emissary 66L or the Super K 60L (or the Super K 70?)? I wing in Rhode Island in everything from light wind to 30kts, flat water to waves. I'm 155lbs, gybing, tacking, pumping short distances, riding waves a little.
The dimensions are very similar with the 66 Emissary vs the 60 Super K. Is the Super K a little rounder displacement nose? Does it have a more concave deck? I rode the 80L super K and it just feels really nice. It seems like KT just nails it. Anyone rode both of them in similar size? I'm leaning towards the Emissary mostly because of the 66L size, but never seen one in person.
Thanks!
Christine
I'm 66kg and was between the super k 70, flux 60/72, or emissary 66. I was leaning omen because of the appletree construction. I sent omen an email with some detail about me and my riding and they responded with a very detailed response recommending the 66L Emissary. Just placed the order tonight!
This will be my only board for now, then plan to keep it as my light wind board when I get a smaller board down the road.
Excited to try it out!
Oh cool, I'm really interested to hear your thoughts once you get to ride it. I was able to borrow both a 70L Flux and an 80L Super K and both felt nice. The conditions were different, but I noticed an especially light responsive feeling with the super K and wondered if that is because it's actually lighter, or if the denser foam of the appletree construction gives a little duller feeling. I really like the concave deck, especially when its cold and wearing boots. Does the emissary have as much concave as the super k?

I thought the Emissary and SuperMarine only came out last fall? You must be a crazy fast learner... have you ridden other boards or just those two?
