Let's have more info. I thought this was being announced end October and available in December??? Come on ozone, throw us a bone.
I recently heard that they changed materials for the v2 (I think thats probably why there are dyneema and Aluula protos floating around) - not sure which material they settled on or even if they've settled on one. This pushed the launch out. Retailers haven't yet been given details and have not been able to place orders yet. Latest estimate I heard was March/April, but this has moved so much, I don't know whats real anymore. Given orders haven't been placed yet, December seems out of the picture.

March/April should have been correct, they just didn't tell you the year ??
Coming soon. Placeholder created on kiteboarding.com web site.
Finally some proof! Good spotting @Windy2 ??

My understanding is that the Flux was built to order, partially to keep overhead down with a lean supply chain, but mainly to avoid stock clearance sales. I'll definitely be looking around for V1 deals, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not privy to ozone's business model but I know I got cracker deal on a smaller sized v1 and my local has more on sale.. I thought maybe all dealers were conscious of holding stock with the v2 coming up.. either way the flux v1 is great and my riding has improved and it's become a favourite vs my duotones and norths.. if ozone had longer handles/boom I'd probably get a full quiver at these run out prices..
i got this response from Fbook Ozone USA -Jon Mcabe:
"Flow will be a while as it's pretty new still, flux should be releasing soon maybe 1-2 months eta"
Cool, they look nice. A shame as I'd have stuck with Ozone. But I think the v5 strikes in aluula look like they'll be good, hopefully get mine next week.
I won't rush myself into buying another brand. My Flux V1 wings are still decent so i keep calm until the V2 shows up.
Shouldn't be too long anymore (inside sources say).
Mathis Ghio is a racer, With more race-specific wings coming to the market, Ozone might actually update the Fusion, maybe with use of more exotic materials.
I'm in the market for some wave-focussed wings. Some interesting options, like PPC M1-X and Vayu Aura x2, but have fond memories of my WASP wings (the v1 still better than a lot of V3 versions of other brands). My budget, however, will not allow me to buy the newest wings so I'm hoping the Flux2 will push V1's to a more reasonable pricepoint (new and second hand).
They are saying since august the V2 is coming, everytime within 2 months it will be launched. From what I heard ther is/was an patent thing with the handles/boom connection delaying things.
I still have my Flux V1, they past there best but still surf lovely, so I keep them for the big days where I,m afraid destroying my new wings.I doubt you will find them a lot cheaper as at the moment.
Official picture of Flux V2 (ultra x) spotted on Insta...
Don't see it on Ozone's account. Where?
Tired of waiting. Although while waiting, I have seen and experienced durability issues on the Flux V1 trailing edge. Going to North.
I've loved mine too, but just picked up the new strike aluula quiver last week, as I got fed up waiting too.
$1800 full Aluula wing. Moved on and initial reaction is that I'm glad I did. I think a full-frame Aluula gold wing is a thing of the past. Using Aluula more strategically like FOne and Vayu are doing is where the market is going. Gets the benefit of Aluula stiffness at critical points, while keeping price down (and allowing for some flex where it benefits the ride). I'm sure this thing rides great for racey-style freeriding, but thats not my focus and I feel like its a niche.
Kind of hard to tell, but that luff handle looks the same as the Flow which is OK, but there are better options.

whats the feedback - can you compare to V4 Strike or Swing (or Flux v1)?
Had v3 which i didn't like. Only had a couple of sessions on it so far, light, stiff, flags good. Doesn't tack as well as the flux, flux pumps better, but early days, still getting used to it.
They went live on the dealer order system on Tuesday and we have ordered a bunch. They ship with a very cool storage bag that keeps the handles separated from the rest of the wing, harness and hook, leash and sand bag.
