Hi Livit
Where do you get that information?
While my main interest is in the performance data is also of interest.
My 950 is much closer to 1300sq cm than 1400sq cm.

Any more reviews on the 950 besides Gunnars? I have the 1100 right now. I'm new to wind sports and 40 Sessions in on wing. Starting to move into 4 sec to 5 sec 3 to 4 high wind chop. The 1100 seems like too much for me in those conditions. (Happy in flat water). But one tends to look at the equipment instead of
Operator! Comments. Connecting gibes 50% success foot switches on foil. Should I look at 950? 85kg.
Been riding the 950 for a few weeks. Pump on foil easy, fast wing, good glide, upwind machine, smooth, easy turning. I also ride the 1100 and 790. Both good wings. Not firm but I think 790 designed for kiting and 1100 for Wind/SUPing. The high aspect 950 more wing specific will be my new hydrofoil one wing quiver. Pair that with 483 stab and you'll be smiling. If you are invested in Moses already the 950 should be your choice of wing. I'm 82 kg and no issues from 12 to 30 kts. Maybe 790 30+?

Thanks for the info. How do you compare 950 to 1100?
1100 is a good wing. Might gain maybe 2 more knots on the low end. Similar to Gunnar's podcast. 1100 slower and more of larger turning jibe but absolutely a handful in 20 kts+. With the addition of the 950 I have not been on either 1100 and 790 for a while. With good pumping skills you can make the 950 work in light wind. The 950 detail spec is misleading. You just need to get on it and you will know right away what we are experiencing. I'm just a weekend wind warrior trying to figure all this out. Hope this helps.
i have about 5 sessions on the 950/710/483 now. Comparing to the 790/710/450
My first session, my initial impression what how stable at speed it was. The 790 is more loose and rolls better in the turns. I still prefer it for turning. Was not overly impressed with the 950 glide through the turns on my first day (flat water) but getting it in a little bit of swell it really came alive and this is where the difference b/w the 950 & 790 really becomes apparent. I'm able to surf some really small gutless swells on the 950 that the 790 would not stay on. I've used the 950 w/ 6m Unit and 4m Echo and Unit wings on 95l and 75l Sky Wing boards. I don't really ride the 1100 so cannot comment on the extra front footedness of the 950 but for me it doesn't seem like particularly front footed ride.

Just got the 950 and the 399 stab. 483 stab was not available here. No wind so have not taken them out yet. I'm thinking of using the 950 with my 450 stab (I use the 450 with my 1100). Because I might want to return the 399 and try to get a 483 stab. Am I overthinking this? I'm a bit past beginner, cleaning most jibes in flat water and sometime doing ok in big chop. 85 kg, 6'1". I got the 950 because 1100 felt too much in hectic offshore conditions. question 1: is was it a mistake to get the 399 stab? Hard to know without trying and don't want to take out of cellophane for that fear. It looks small! Gunnar and my shop suggested the 399 as a alternate to the 483 . question 2: is the 450 a good choice to pair with 950 - Gunnar says would be too stiff- but that's Gunnar at his skill level.i am getting out 1 a week on average so my skills gain not super fast. Wind coming in a few days. Yay!
why not just try the W950 with your S450 and see if you like it? I've only used it w/ the S483. Am actually looking forward to trying it w/ the S400/399. Have the S450 also but haven't ridden the W950 that often b/c I usually use my W1000/S400
Had first session on W950 and 710HS fuse.
Kind of disappointed, first of all it's way too heavy (the 710HS fuse mostly), really noticeable difference when carrying the board with the above setup.
The W950 can't take a tiny breach, it ventilates right away causing a crash, it's very difficult to recover from the smallest breach.
To get initial lift, you need pretty much the same initial speed as W1000, maybe ~2 knots less.
When going above 15-17 knots in choppy water there is a lot of "turbulence" feeling, control becomes questionable.
I think those winglets on the ends are causing ventilation and "turbulence" feeling at moderate speeds, not sure what's the purpose of them in the first place.
W1000 on the other hand doesn't have any of the above issues, I just needed a good front wing for <15 knots wind days, W950 doesn't cut it.

Hi
What do you weigh? I've not had that experience at 76kg.
75kg, 5ft/90L board, 85cm carbon mast (project cedrus).
I'll definitely give it a few more sessions to make sure, today's conditions weren't the best.
Been riding naish ha1400 for long time, w950 feels like a downgrade at this point.
according to the SAB Foil site, here are the weights of the two fuses:
710 Surf: 865g, stabilizer incidence -2.3 degrees
700 HS: 922g, stabilizer incidence -1.5 degrees (but comes w/ more shims)

My bad, I have 700HS fuse.
I guess the weight is really noticeable when switching from W1000/kite 647 fuse (655g)/m6 hardware to the mentioned above setup with m8 hardware.
I wish I could try/demo it beforehand.
On the other hand w1000/s399/647 fuse is definitely my favorite setup, as long as the wind is ~15 knots.

got it. i also ride the W1000/S400/647 combo and my glider weighs in at about 1785g. the W950/S483/700HS glider looks like it weighs about 1000g more at 2755g which is quite a big difference.
We have good wind here so the W1000 is my go to pretty much 100% of the time.
My W1000 glider with Project Cedrus 90cm mast combo is about 3500g which is quite nice
I also see very little difference in low end between the W950 to the W1000... (and you could throw in the W790 and W799 for that matter) would have to go W1100 or W1250 to make a real difference in low end I imagine. I have a Fanatic HA1500 and HA 1750 foil as well, and those have much more performance on the low end.
