Alright so my contribution to the French economy is almost complete: Yesterday I finally got my first FOne foil:
- 80cm mast
- Eagle x 1000
- 145 tail
I tried to parawing it on the Minicuda (100l) and it was simply unrideable (I even thought there had to be some sort of error with the tail setting but according to the website and the dealer it is correct). Next time I will try it with the wing to get more consistent power.
As I had to paddle back a solid mile though
, one thing I can say is that the paddle is much faster than the Gofoil one, so I'm assuming the hydrodynamics are more efficient in the FOne.
Hopefully next time I get the foil planing lol.
By the moment there's no way I can ditch the GoFoil though.

I have the RS1150 (don't ride anymore) and also eagle X 1000 and 900 for pwing. They are massively different conceptually. The 1150 is a very easy, safe and predictable foil and was great for its time. The 1000 X has lovely low end glide and is a great foil for small DW bumps. They are just very very different. It might take a while to develop the finesse required to love the 1000x but its a great foil and worth the time.
