That would be great sunsetsailboards.

The more pictures the better and also board weights would be appreciated, especially of the Team Edition if you have any.

I would be using a Moses foil , so mast track distance from trailing edge would also be appreciated.

many thanks

Nice one
looks like the foil track is 2" forward from tail. Are the front straps in same place or are they also forward on the 2022 version?
hard to tell with the stripes on pad
thanks

I weighed a few v1 5'0"s: 14.2, 14.4, 12, 13.0lbs. quite a large variation

my 2022 v2 5'0" is 13.0lbs
the two 2022 5'4" i weighed were both 14.3lbs

TE boards are supposed to be ~300g lighter

the 2022 feels lighter carrying and riding. I noticed the narrower tail and flatter deck instantly. I think it's actually a little more stable for knee starts as the width on the bottom of the board is wider w/ reduced bevels. seems to fly onto foil easier as well. one are where I think it's worse is that the rail feels more grabby on touchdowns if i'm flying upwind. the v1 seemed very good at glancing off the water without slowing down.

I didn't like the shallower deck concave at first, but now I'm used to it. Will be interesting to get back on the v1 and see how it feels (it's my wife's board now).

I'm using primarily SABFoil W1000 or W940 on these boards. Mast position is still front of center... maybe 3/4 way for the W940 and maybe 2-3cm from the front on the W1000 (which was fully forward on the v1). Works fine w/ the Slingshot Phantasm PTM 926 wing package as well.

FYI: 85kg, 3.3 or 4m Duotone Unit/Slick 99% of the time in a pretty windy part of the world but also like to test the low end limits of my gear

looks sweet.

Did you compare the feel and weight to the standard edition?

Any comments on how robust it will be??

Mine, on bathroom scales, is 6.5kg so close.
It feels smaller than my previous 95l which I think is due to the very pulled in nose and tail.

The 105 TE gets up on the foil way easier than the old 95l , the 105 has a much flatter rocker.

How's the 2022 Fanatics holding up for you guys threads been pretty quiet for awhile is it a optical in the Picts or reality the rocker seems to be pretty minimal/ ironing boardish, how's that shaking out performance wise

I don't have a new Skywing, but I do have a new Stingray 115 which has the same philosophy of a fast, flat bottom for quick acceleration.

And I love it. I windfoil and wingfoil and the easy acceleration is wonderful. After my first day winging it I sold my Sky SUP. No way I was going to try to push that bowl through the water ever again after how easily the stingray flew.

Took my new 5'8" 125L board out for a session in very rough water and wasn't able to get up due to very, very choppy conditions. I'm comparing it to the 6'7" 140L Naish Hover which is very stable, and I know I would have been able to get up. I'm 100 Kg. This board is thinner and boxier and it feels like balancing on a cork because the rails are so high and there is no bevel. I can't wait to take it out on flat water so that I can get used to the new balancing points and actually enjoy the small footprint and swing weight. But for anyone coming from a big board to the new Fanatic, you might not want to take it straight out into the surf until you get used to it.

Try to learn the stinkbug start. It helps a lot in choppy conditions with smaller boards.

I like many things about this board. But since I weigh around 126 lbs I am wondering if it will be way too "corky".
Has anyone who is lighter had enough time to comment on this?

From what the above writer says this may not be the board for me.
Thanks,

When boards are bigger in volume than your weight plus 10 liters (67 liters for you) they become less stable "in very rough" seas.

In less extreme waters, it's less important.

At 67 liters your deck will be flush with the water, with nose above water sailing on the surface, not on foil.

So do you think -10lts body weight are more stable in chop.

I tried a fanatic in same volume as my Naish 95, it was less stable and felt a smaller board.

I had a 115l 5 6 which was super unstable in chop for my 105kg. Went to 90l 5 2 with a concave deck and it is easier to get going if there is wind. PITA if there is no wind.
