Just watched sailgp and two Armstrong wings were in the footage, I green/black and one pink/black. Still had same handles I think. New wings?

I saw something on instagram aswell, think i saw a yellow & black one. I just hope there will be color option for each size so its not like the ensis. 1 color = 1 size. I really like the black and white! haha :)There will be a XPS with handle alternatives probably much like F ones later wings. =)

I can't see the videos. They're not available.
Changing or adding colours will be quite a departure for Armstrong from a branding perspective. Everything is black and white or gray with the small accents of blue or red at the moment and has been for some time. I don't see them doing it - I mean wings in pink or green. Never been a part of their branding.

I could see them adding handle/boom options.

also trying new and more expensive materials will be a departure from the current wing ethos. But let's see.
In the past you could see them testing new wings on Insta for months before the XPS range was released.

Armstrong has new promo hats in these colors too. Whether it's a new wing design or just new colors, I don't know but it seems likely that colors are coming.

There was more Armstrong PR on Day 2 at 1:02:42:

I was watching pretty closely as I am looking for a new light wind wing and currently tossing up between Armstrong & Ozone.

You're not thinking the "8" on the wing is an 8m? I think the numbers/colors are just to make it easier for people to see the different riders (and they're using current xps wings).

I've got an 8m XPS and it works fine but it is big and heavy (like most big wings). Haven't used the Ozone but a local uses one and it does look to be lighter handling. If you can afford it, I think the dlab Ventis would also be a good option ti get a lighter/stiffer frame.

I'm thinking the same, ozone flow or new Armstrong. I heard it's due Easter and will have a boom/handle option

Well the one and only critique I've personally heard about the XPS wings (probably others too that I've not heard) is that they are not as visible on the water as other wings because of the black and white colours. I don't agree personally.

So potentially increasing visibility on the water could be a reason for a change.

Like someone else observed, these appear to be current design XPS wings, just with different colours. My money is on it being a promotional thing and the colours will not make it to the market, but my track record in making preditions for Armstrong is very poor...

Plus the stitching on the handles is poor. Coming undone....

I buys wings in different colors for each size so I can easily tell the size without having to find the number. They also pack back up into the right bags easier. Maybe my "water stupid" after foiling is just stronger than others.

Plus they still look good but lose power with age. It's gradual noticed if you compare to a new one.

I used to go the other way and get them the same colour.....then my wife doesn't pick the new ones. Now it doesn't matter so much.

Agree. Has happened to my wings after nearly two full seasons. It would be good to address this issue.

Best looking wing on the market (but that's purely subjective so I don't care what anyone else thinks about that).
My 4 wings are very gradually loosening at the leeward third of the wing. You only notice it on land, they look perfect powered up. I'm sure that has a minor effect on the power. Nothing I find an issue. But given how much I've used them and when I compare them to other wings that are a similar age, in my experience it's a very gradual process and they've held up exceptionally well.

So I would be curious whether in your experience how the loss of power compares to other wings you've had and how much use you've had with the XPS.

It was a friend with an Armie quiver, 6m had bladder problem and wing replaced under warranty. All wings well used and still look tight, but replacement had such a marked improvement in power he checked the size and if it was a new cut. The message was wings deteriorate but we don't notice as we improve and adapt.
Seems to me local Armie army are sailing about as early as new but hard to compare as better technique and moved to MLs,. My F-Ones bagged but strangely didn't lose power, they look bad but sail OK.

Armstrong ad at the start of the GWA event stream just showed XPS Mark 2. It was a 4.5 m2 size so indicated new sizes are coming. Also showed the boom. Not much else was visible and the ad only lasted a couple of seconds.
It also said "coming soon".

LW stays the same in sizes. Also get the Boom if you like it.

Other sizes will change from 6.5, 6.0,..... in 0.5m? incrememts.
Hard Handles are originaly delivered with the wing. Boom and Hybrid handles are optional.
Mounting wise it looks like some similar solution as f-one hast done. So no tools required.
Color will stay the same (black/white).
Only the arrangement will change. What is in black color now, will be white and vice versa.
Cool solution in every aspect.
No aluula or other fancy hype sh**t

Was thinking the exact same, Duotone to FOne, then maybe to Armstrong!

There is not a wing on the market with the same price/quality ratio than the Armstrong one.
They really nailed it with the XPS.
The XPS MkII will be pretty much the same with the only change being on the handle which was the weakest point of the first gen XPS. Not because the handles did not work, but because the stitches came off after a season. The MKII will have a rubberized finish which will last longer.

That's my experience too after using 4 different sized wings since they were released here - only issue is the stitching coming loose. Luckily in my case it's only superficial and the handle covering itself is not affected.
Agree 100% re the value:performance:longevity ratio. I don't know of any other wing that matches this.
im hoping for some small other incremental improvements. Read elsewhere that the windows will be removed but judging by the photos above they are still in place.

Are the handles the same design / dimension as current? (Thin and Wide)
