Newly released foil & obviously the smaller version of the HA1125.
Anyone have any real life comparison between the 2 foils...?
I'd be interested to hear how the HA925 fairs for winging...
Found this YouTube review that includes winging. Looking forward to wing riders experience. Especially on stall speed vs 1125. Sky says it's less although that's for prone
I've tested out the 925 around 4 sessions winging and one session prone. It pairs very well with the 1125. I could sell my 1850 and 1250, and be happy (keeping the 1050 of course). It feels to me like a smaller, more agile/nimble 1125. Like others have said, more user friendly than the 1125 for sure. It cranks turns so easy.
My last wing session was maybe 12-18mph gusts and I was on my 4M wing (underpowered). Later switched to a 5M and 1125 and it jumped to 20-30 lol, but still had a blast. www.instagram.com/reel/CSzspEZA3Ql/?utm_medium=copy_link
I would say it has a similar stall speed to the 1125. The more I ride both, the better I get at lowering that stall speed. Ride high, then dive it into a pump at stall point to regain that speed and continue. Super excited about both these wings. I knew holding out with Armstrong gear was the call. Wings keep getting better as my skill improves.

Ok so what you are saying is that you would be happy to have the 1125 & 925 as they are a good pair but what I want to ask you is do you think having the 1125 & 1550v2 would be an acceptable/good pair also (similar or different?:-)

Seems like if you have the 925 the 1550v2 will be better for low wind. The 1125 good for medium wind flat water winging is the impression I'm getting. but that's why I'm asking before I buy. Have ordered the 925 but got wait couple weeks

I bought the 1550 v2 because of the almost identical plan form to the 1250 - which I love.
But I find myself reaching for the 1125 when ever the conditions allow.
(I wing with both, so mostly ride swells / flat water) I'm 78kg for reference...

I don't have a 1550v2 due to my 65kgs. If I could, I would trade my 1850 for the 1550v2 and keep my 2400 for wing session saver. The 1125 is turning into my medium-light wind foil. The 925 for medium-strong, and the 850 for strong, and 625 for nuclear. 1050 was fun jumping last time I tried it.
For prone, the 925 might be a quiver killer. Can't part with my hs1050 for chest to head high days though. The 1125 for those tiny pump forever days
After my 925 prone session today, I'm not sure I will use the 1250 prone anymore. Pulled my tightest, fastest 'pump back out - frontside 270 roundhouse carve' yet, felt effortless (I'm super rusty on prone too, spending all my free time winging this flat summer). I rode the 925 for 11 waves then switched to the 1125 and wasn't having as much success pumping it. This is all new setups for me on the new 4' FG board, so guessing mast locations and tail shims/wings.

Yo Eppo, I'm psyched on the 4'. The 4'5" SKT was good but a bit too much volume for me (65 KGs) and would put the hurt on a poorly healed rib cage (old snowboarding injury - pulled part of rib cartilage off my sternum). My old 3'11" was 25 liters and I only used it a handful of times but felt slightly under volume and would wander on me when paddling and changing directions for catching waves. Mainly used the 4'5" for better paddling and wave catching. The construction was a bit fragile on the SKTs I'd say, but never had any major dings.
The FG 4' has 2 extra liters of volume and a longer water line due to the straight tail, so it paddles like a few inches longer than the 3'11". I'm super comfy paddling it into small summer grovelers so far. We'll see if I'm singing a different tune 6 months from now when I'm in a 5/4 and when I get it out on a chest to head day. The concave deck seems to help with that wandering issue I had with the 3'11 and it feels great when on foil. Construction seems more durable so far as well. Not sure I would change much on it, maybe slide the tracks back an inch. I had the 1125 and 925 1cm from all the way back. FV Tail was running at a -1 setting (no shim) however.
had a few touch downs pumping the 925 and able to keep the ball rolling no prob.
sinker wing thoughts, I checked and I can get the nose around 6" below the water squatting on the board. Can't wait to try winging it
Ah so she paddles decently - meaning your stroke transfers into forward motion. Thats good news. Was on a similar volume to the FG im getting yesterday and this board (which will
go unnamed) rocked from side to side like a damn boat. Thought it was the less volume in it until i swapped it with a mate on a current amos board. Chalk and cheese.

For me it's a tough choice between the 1250 & 1125.
Both are absolute performers!!

I had been on the 1125 ever since its release somewhere in March. I have had 4 session now on the 925. I use it mostly for winging (5-6 times a week).
I totally love the 1125. It great for donwwinging for the conditions we get where I live (1m rolling wind swell). With my 81 kg it has enough lift, glide and pump to keep me going forever. Also loved the speed. Granted, you need to get used to it and tweak the ride as you like it. I wont lie, I was struggling at first, coming from 1850/1250.
The 925 is really amazing too. Much has been said on stall speed. For me it is a little higher compared to the 1125. I need to pump the wing a few times more before I am able to get going. Once on the foil you feel it is a lot faster compared to the 1125 (which feels slow if you go back). On my GPS it showed about 5 kmh faster. Still the glide is there. Pump frequency for me is a bit higher. So far we haven't had any decent windswells. That is going to change this week, so I am able to report back how it performs in conditions where the 1125 excels for me. I am wondering if it can keep me going in slow rolling waves under 1m, without going crazy on the pumping.
Is it gong to replace the HS wings? For some yes, but for most I do not believe it will. With winging you can really cruise the HS foils. I believe the HA requires you to be a lot more active and push it. With my weight that is the case for the 925. I need to be concentrated. Need to keep the speed up. Gybes and tacks need to be spot on. The speed that you carry into turns is higher, turns are shorter.

I don't think the 925 replaces the 1125 and 925. I totally agree with Hubdekkers assessment. I just imagine that the 1250 and 1125 will be seeing less water time for a while.
Although i suspect due to the high pumping cadence it needs a 50 fuse would be more ideal. Will see.

I got my first wing session on the 925 yesterday. It is an awesome little foil and will be my first choice anytime we have decent wind. Turns, pumps, glides - what else can you ask for? Highly recommended.

Neither was as difficult to ride as I'd expected and both delivered amazing glide, acceleration, pump, and good speed. Turning was really good on both but the 925 was really fun to rail even with the tip out. On the low end they require a bit of extra work and finesse to get going.I jumped back to my 1250 for comparison and I still love it but I'm excited to see where the 925 that I just ordered takes me. These are incredible foils.

Did you find the low end between the 1125 and 925 similar?
@emmafoils, the 925 seemed to be one step behind the 1125 for low end, but not by a massive margin. A grunty/stiff/pumpable wing really helps if the low end is being tested on these foils. I found that I needed a couple of extra pumps to get going relative to the 1250 in similar wind and the HA wings don't like to have the angle of attack change too drastically while getting to lifting speed. As soon as these foils have a reasonable bit of forward drive they are off and racing. They are so slippery though the water. I did find the stall speed on both wings to be pretty similar while pumping downwind with the wing flagged out. I only had 1 hr on the 1125 and switched to the 925 for about 2.5 hrs and then put the 1250 on at the end for comparison. Really interesting riding all three (and loving what each offered).
