Hi ,
I'm not doing many repairs at the moment , got a bit on right now. Maybe later if I need to.
Steve and Jas both do a great job so give them a call if you need.
Just for the record I don't think its cool that people are bagging out Katana on line. It's between Penguin and Katana and no one else on here can really say they know the whole story so try and keep it in check.

Cheers, Hoop

Well if he/she had completed a reasonable task then nothing negative would have been said I reckon. As indicated the repair shop, when questioned were not that interested in the complaint.
However as it looks to the readers of this topic, he/she didn't receive fair value or a reasonable repair job, then its in the interest of other board users who need such like repairs, to be aware of the quality being presented.
Would hate to see others get the same treatment as this lad has... apparently
No names have been quoted, just the location and the business.

Couldn't agree more with the recommended repairers on the list though. They do a great job

And if he/she had gone to who was recommended in the first place then you wouldn't be reading this now.
Why ask for advice from people in the know then go and take it somewhere else and then come back on here and complain that they have had a sh1t repair and then bag the guy who did it.

Not sure if I missed something but I don't think I saw katana on the list of recomendations

Good lesson learned I think.

well Gazza & clarke I was waiting for such comments as they were missing from the typically comment route these types of threads follow.

I asked for recommendations for repairers
I got recommendations for repairs including Katana. Just because I didn't get Katana recommended on this post does not prohibit me from choosing them. I got recommendations in person from a shop that has used Katana successfully.

I was unsuccessful with Katana and that is my problem. But if you were looking at spending $400-$500 on repairs then the more info you have then better choice you will have and now people have a very short list of guys to use so this post will be alot of use to other people.

I have put the issues I have with my board after being asked.

I just passed on my recommendation to give a katana a miss. But if I had good success with Katana then I would be putting my recommendations up for them on this forum and expanding the list of good repairs. That is the kinda the point of forums and product reviews

That's fair enough mate, i was only saying that if I had gone to the trouble of posting on a forum asking for recommendations then I would have then reposted asking has anybody had a repair done by ...... As he has been recommend to me by a shop.
The answers would of came hard and fast!

I'm spewing for you there's nothing worst that getting a bad job but as long as its strong your find you will use your board harder now

Look at the repair as a battle scar it adds character to it
