Hi - whats the plan for the weekend? Trying to make arrangements with family and looks like that Sun will be best wind wise. Perhaps WWA could post a tentative program based on current forecast?
Cheers and look forward to the event!
The whole idea of our events this year is that they are a social weekend.
There will be something going on throughout the weekend. So come along.
Unfortunately with the wind direction being NW(Sat), W Sun we are having to be flexible with the events.
We have to get permission for use of water / foreshore, safety boats, etc well in advance so we are a bit limited in where we can congregate.
Final decision will be made tomorrow after looking at the latest forecast.
Rough plan is Red Rooster lunch at Novara (Estuary at noon) with registration for the weekend and your last chance to enter for the Windwise coaching course competition.
Freestyle clinic before the Marathon at 2pm and after.
Pontoon boat 10 seater for spectators and photographers.
Marathon course will be finalised on the day but as Coodanup has a weed issue it makes it difficult for boat access and therefore unsuitable.
Marathon will either be a sail downwind to get clear wind for a start or a short drive to a suitable launch point.
Dinner at the Hot Rock Cafe at the Dawesville cut (7pm) with the prize draw. Book here http://www.windsurfingwa.org.au/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=86
Sunday will probably be a freestyle comp in the morning (venue TBC) and possibly waves in the afternoon. We will have a briefing at Avalon (Ocean) Sunday morning.
Thanks for your cooperation we are trying to make the most of the weekend.

Woops!!!!
I stuffed up sorry, bad weed was on the SOUTHERN end of my tracks, weed at Coodanup is no worse than Novara.
Forecast is still shifting.
A reminder that you need to be a member to take part in the events. there will be no membership available on the day.

We will start with freestyle and hope to run a wave / bump and jump event if the conditions permit.
Fingers crossed and see you there.
Good job on the event Mark. Enjoyed my first sail with you guys. Next time I will rig bigger as advised by the locals. Can't believe how flat it is!!!!!
Great work WWA i had a ball. ![]()
Nice to meet you TerryA. I had fun chasing you all arvo during the race![]()
Briefing at west view parade car park. Avalon @11am.
Thanks to all the helpers who made yesterday a success and Red Rooster who are providing food again today.
I know I voted for the true marathon but in retrospect I liked the 1 hour format. It means those who are slow at least have company on the water the whole time rather than finishing on their lonesome while the fast guys are back at the beach.
It was fun being in a big field of sailors. Usually it feels quite lonely being out on the estuary.
A great job by the organisers who were faced with many challenges on the day.
Great event. Thanks to Mark,Gary and all the other's who donate their time to running the event. A big green thumb to Red Rooster and Pepsi for the food and drinks.
Thanks to all who braved the weather and came along. A great event!
Thanks to Red Rooster for keeping everybody fed and watered on both days.
A huge thank you to Mandurah Water Rescue for their support and the volunteers who gave up their time to keep everybody safe.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with registration, boats, judging, freestyle clinic, photos, set up etc. We could not do it without you.
Please remember that nobody is paid at WWA everyone does this because they love the sport and want to see the community get together and have fun.
Freestyle clinic. Thanks to Al and Laure
