Entire Series = $45 (6 rounds are planned)
Single Round = $10
Forecast is looking great for the opener of the series with 15-20kn
The local boys have been practicing the course so it looks like it's game on
Spewing i can't be there.
Will the free ride fleet get to run against the open fleet, or will it be separated.
I'm on freeride but would like the chance to race against the open... For team Goya :-)

You can race open if you wish to
Not wishing to cause a stir, but i was told last saturday there was a large "man in the grey suit" in that area. Will there be many rescue boats around during the race to keep an eye out for these things and get us out if there's an issue?
Once again, not trying to scare people, just wanting to know for peace of mind as i'm keen to race.
Cheers
:)

There are 2 rescue boats on course (1 as the start boat)
Racing is no more than 400m from shore
I'm not saying there aren't sharks out there, but i've never seen one whislt sailing out there.
Plenty of other sea life, but no sharks.

I signed up for all rounds but unfortunately my equipment didn't arrive for this first round, although tomorrow I'm there in Safety Bay to meet you guys!
Cheers!
Don't forget to register tonight as you will still need to log onto the web site to register at the beach tomorrow.

I paid by the membership and Patrik races, is it mean that I'm registered? hehe
About equipment I just have my fins, extensions and mast foots. I talked with Steve Stratfold, maybe he have some medium board to borrow to me. Lets see tomorrow.
Thanks mate.
Any photos?
They were definitely taking some. Hopefully they edit out the ones where I stacked in front of them...

Haha they'd be there all day editing if they were to do that anyway....
Madlad, How did the hornet go apart from the stack?
I was a bit off the pace to be honest, but I'm still learning how to tune it and it was fairly bumpy with everyone so close so I was taking it easy. After the second race I added more down haul and it was a lot quicker. I also probably had too much out haul for the downwind legs as well. I don't think it's the gear i have, I think it's the rider. The last race I was better, and managed to overtake someone on the run to the finish, so hopefully I'll be better by the next round. It was an epic day though.

Cheers, yeah I saw them earlier.
I do have my boom low always, coz I hate my harness lines hooking up on me in the middle of a gybe. I wasn't going flat out coz I was just trying to stay upright. Hopefully I'll be better at the next one.
Yeah, those results look whacky to me too. Like how does being the in second heat in round one only allow for a minimum score of 11? Surely this should also be 0.5 as no one has raced yet? I had also assumed the free for all race (round 6) wasn't a scoring round, given the 'Final' was round 5, but looks like I might be wrong there too. Are all the heat and extra rounds counted, or is it only the final? Can anyone clarify how this is supposed to work - I clearly can't work it out
Edit: looks like the race wizards are editing the scores now
Scores are being amended.
1st heat was screwing things up a bit.
As snake has stated the second heat in round 1 was a disadvantage so this has been fixed up so round 1 has no heat score
Should be accurate now.
If you click on the Round 1 tab at the top it will show you the scoring system
Basically, after round 1, all rounds are counted with a discard of your worst result (Inc. Mass fleet starts)
