My daughter just asked me why I wasn't out windsurfing today.
"Too windy", I said
"Haven't heard that one before..." she replied!

but it's really just too darn cold!!!

Being a tough hardened male I can't use that as an excuse, my equipment wasn't right for the conditions

By that do you mean that it would have shrank toooo much in the cold

How embarrassment I left it open for a double entendre and my old foe was quick to exploit it

Think we've fixed that worrying banging sound, that kept us awake last night.
My first thought was for the new solar electricity panels on the top roof, it then shifted to the solar hot water system panel, (which is a bit loose, only attached by 2 long straps at the front).
I stood on the roof for a while in the cold and damp, didn't hear or see a thing, but wife reported hearing several "thumps".

We then noticed a concrete flower pot on the balcony rocking around a bit, choked it up to stabilise it, and so far no more thumps.
The acoustics in this house are really weird!!!!

Isn't it amazing how really good excuses pop up just when you need them.
"Sorry can't come windsurfing, I've got to stop my house blowing apart in the gale tonight."

What time was that Mr Salty? I was half tempted in the morning when it was NW, but it seemed just a tad light, once it went WSW I decided to join hardy at the estuary

buggerit, buggerit

decided as I had the afternoon off I would go and find where the wind was although the forecast said no wind. Trees were moving a bitLooked at the beach in Halls head and just about enough to plane on big kit but dead onshore.
Put Ping and biggest sail in trailer and went to sail.
went to Navarra, 5kts
went to Avalon bay, maybe up to 11 kts at times.
Why are the forecasts accurate for no wind but inaccurate for wind, when there often isn't any

Can you hear the wind blowing now???? must be over 20kts, why is it that it picks up after the sun goes down????
