You are aware that there is a large tide running next week (before the storm surge).

We'll probably be doing runs about 10m from shore foot high chop

Weather Bureau bloke said yesterdAY most fronts are drifting south as they approach the mainland, so I would imagine forecast to reduce as front gets closer, Hardies can't handle that much wind anyway, so it would be pack the gear for Point Walter I think, probably only spot that could handle that much wind?

A friend has "superstitions" about the winter fronts which (strangely) haven't been too far off the mark, but do take the fun out of expectation:

1) The first front is always a fizzer.

2) Best cold front arrives on Mothers day

Ahhh.. cold fronts - I so enjoy their ferocity, not getting sunburnt to heck, morning glories, warm northerlies, associated swell, yet the random arrival/dissappearance/gusts/wind shifts can drive ya crazy!

a front with south in , could haver a bit more UMPHF than the traditional westerly 1st fizzler of the year.

but yeah , elmo gestalt have defo F&%%D it up now, so a good skunking it is.

everyone repeat 10 times "WE WILL GET SKUNKED, I'M GOING TO DO SOME CHORES AROUND THE HOUSE INSTEAD, OR A FULL DAYS WORK"

I'm posting the graphs so as to demonstrate the futility of getting excited a long way out.

I'll start getting wood a day or two out
