Leechy, what you need is some sort of "pole" attached to your helmet, or arm etc. so the vid camera is offset enough to take pictures of yourself as your sailing.
Mast cams are so overdone, we need a new angle 
What I really need is a midget riding on my shoulders.
Then she can film a whole range of different angles, for full effect.
