I'm not sure that it's a good idea to have it in the same spot time after time.
However THE worst thing is to hold it in a spot that is seen to not work.
There was some interest in SA last year before the Vico's came good, and they did.
Dan, I'll save you a post, when I talk about SA don't think I'm talking about Robe.
This spot in SA sounds like it is seriously good spot.
I'm told same angle and direction as Gerroa and way more consistent on wave size.

Had a chat some of the other SA crew and most think a west coast SA nationals could work in Jan/Feb and possibly March. The concerns are that 2 months isn't enough time to organize it (particularly for muppets like us who don't know the first thing about organizing an event like this), and that east coast crew might find the flight+8hr drive a bit much.

Other than that it could be doable and should be able to get some people to help get it going for 2016??

Or... we could organize a shared event with the PWA at Gerroa.

There was a fair amount of chat happening at the Mambo on where and when, with a few expressions of interest.
Not much has been resolved but I'm moderately confident something will come of it .

For those who think they have something to offer I'd be very happy to do what I can to help out.
I'm sure others will help out as well.
There is still time for a February 2015 event but action is needed ASAP because a lot of relevant Council and State bodies shut down over the Christmas break.

Follow this thread...

A bit of a debate happening. It would be good to hear the thoughts of some inter-state crew too.

Hi barri,

In NSW we require council permission and a waterways license. Council usually only takes a week or 2 and the waterways around 4 weeks.

All the councils and RMS officials I talk to a really helpful and accommodating, we have had license's changed within an hour when I've requested them.

It's worth a call to the SA authorities and explain the situation. What's written on a website can usually be bypassed if you explain.

Cheers,
George

Unfortunately most of our reliable spots on the west coast of SA are in national parks and the application process is entirely different, therefore a much longer timeframe is needed, not sayin its impossible peeps but much longer process

Yet to be confirmed, but there is fair chance of it being at Flat Rock near Ballina in mid Nov. As mentioned-nothing is confirmed yet but stay posted.

I'll back that up. A suspension at first. He's just an idiot trying to piss people off. When that is let go, but other things are censored, the legitimacy of the forums is called into question, which in turn will lower the value to potential advertisers on the site.

39 forums - we can't read every post .. there is no "letting go" or "allowing" (which is the usual accusation).

Mark Zukerburg can't read every post on facebook, nor the police watch every citizen.

Help the community by letting us know of anything unsavory. (the flag above each post)

Here's a list of just the recent topics

Let me know how you go reading every single one!

Fair enough. But when you have an account that was signed up this month and almost every single comment that's been made is trolling it somewhat devalues the site. Perhaps there is a need for section admins that can flag content for deletion.

BTW while Zuckerberg doesn't monitor Facebook, since he is too busy reading what ever book he is reading at the moment, Facebook does have an army of content auditors that check up on every post that's been flagged or picked up by their content filter as inappropriate.

Yeah, it is actually "loftsofwind" as opposed to "lotofwind"- the added "fs", I believe, is modern speak for "full of sh!t"

LOL
My son says he will show respect to the senior citizens from now on.
I have confiscated his kite gear and he is being forced to do community service every day after school helping polers carry all their heavy gear from the carpark to the waters edge for them. lol

Advising the forum nazis now are we, Herr Langy.

Ban banning I say.

KOTP, can't you see through this Trollsofwind hoax ?

It's pretty obvious.

I'll give you some handy hints.

The dude is not a kiter, the user name gives a false appearance.

The dude is one of your brothers, a poledancer.

[A poley who posts a lot, nudge, nudge.]

This troll has an evil plan to make the real Loto look bad.

lol.
