Any sail in the right or more aproapriately the wrong position will get shredded....
did I miss the point of this thread?
Bring back full monofilm sails, they were the lightest and they were just as strong.
AND if you did blow them apart you could stick them back together with a roll of duct tape in the car park and go back out and smack it all day.
Did it heaps of times.
My experience is the Aerotech's are a little weak-
However I'm 115Kg's and tend to head butt them.
Just bought a 2 yr old ezzy, cause word of mouth shows them to be strong for the dollar
i dont really rate ezzys. i snapped a mast in one and the whole bloody mast sleeve tore from top to bottom making the sail unusable even tho no palen had gone! b**l**** i recon.
NP's are always dependable. combats are sweet
So manufacturers have different warranty policies depending on which country you're in? I must have missed reading 'only in America' in the fine print.
Warranties cover faults in material and manufacture, they can't say we won't cover it because you used your wave sail in the surf. If it's got a fault it's got a fault.
I'm pretty sure if you took a new sail out in the surf and a panel blew out or something similar you'd be taking it back to the dealer.
The only argument you could have against using the warranty rate is how good the company is with honoring warranties. In this case, they are very good, some other brands are not so good!
*Just to clarify one point in your response. Warranties aren't given by 'retailers', they are given by manufacturers. It's not up to the retailer to make the call.
