Every fat bastard with a BMI greater than 25.
sure, quite rightly so...but the collateral damage is also all the fellows putting in around/over 1,90m body length in that BMI formula.
That is without any (winterclad) float allowance.
BMI is a bull**** measure for tall muscular people. My BMI is 26.4 but I had my body fat percentage measured recently and it was 13%.
How are you measuring bmi.. I recently had mine measured with a machine you stand on that gives you the number.
The calculation is
BMI = weight (kg) / height (m squared)
for me 92 / (1.92*1.92)
BMI = 24.9
Normal is 18.5 to 24.9
overweight 25 to 29.9
obese 30 - 34.9
extremely obese 35 and up
It is not really a true judge of your body condition; an example would be the current sumo champ, Onosato san.
Height 192cm and 191kg
191 / (192*192)
BMI = 51.8
He would be considered an exceptionally fat b*stard but they are exceptionally fit and healthy (maybe?)
So next time you look in the mirror, just remember you're not fat, you're just virtually challenged. Just grow to match your girth.
Exactly.
Use this to find your ideal height
Height (m) = square root of(Weight (kg) / 25)
It's not too late to grow; you can do it! Follow your dreams and never give up
Best board ever. However i have sailed serval nuevo’s. 86 , 92 & 101. 86 has a bad rocker line and you can feel it. 92 is the sweetest board i ever had. It has limitations - like over powered. Hard to sail in white water. This board is not for every one. However if you learn how to sail it - wave ride. Super tight turns. Do ask me how or what my technique is. I sailed 93 Starboard Ultra last night only because it was a bit lighter and it get’s on the plain easier. However not dialled in , Do get me wrong 93 ultra is a great board However it doesn’t have that on the edge factor.
