Hey,
I was wondering if, by any chance, anybody rented a big house and had some rooms left for saturday night..?? (not sure how many we would be, but max 5 people..
). Otherwise i'm sure the camping's trampoline is very comfy.
Thks a lot!
wind lookin good, swell maybe on the small side though. perfect conditions for the wave panther to make an apearance.
gad, its goin to be great to get back into the comps again. Has anyone get a Hiace for sale - our crew need one badly
Just wondering. How do you work out who comes in 5th for say, the Amateurs? Obviously the top 4 are ranked in the final but how do you work out who is better from both heats? Do you just have equal 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th etc?
Thats the only way we can do it.
None of the am's were around to run the expression session for lower placings at the end.....
i think they were all having to match fun sailing![]()
Expression Session? Whoops! I had an awesome sail further down the beach and jaged a few shoulder high waves. There were a few drop ins though - any chance we could have a run down on wave rules at the briefing for next comp? I thought I knew the rules, but I'm not entirely convinced now!
Bring on Woopi. Hopefully I'm not stuck in the back of the Mazda 121 for the 6 hour drive!
Event report is with the Webmaster now for edit and fact checking!!
Results not far behind - just going to do a double check tomorrow.
The report and the results are now up on www.nswwavesailing.org
Thanks go to our series sponsor Neil pryde and event sponsor Dirty Dog for their support, prizes and demo equipment
Congratulations to all who made the effort and were rewarded by a great time and quality wavesailing
It does feel like summer has started and we look forward to the next event - Woolgoolga 3-5th October where we hope to have an equally successful event
Keep an eye on the NSWWA website and the seabreeze forums for updates
Thanks Mike.
How come there are 3 x 5th places and 3 x 8th places? Not being pedantic, just genuinely interested in how it's worked out.
BTW Matt Town is Mark Town ![]()
In the other Ams heat there was two equal 5th places so three competitors were up tied.
If person X came 3rd in the expression session heat 1 and person Y came 3rd in expression heat 2 then as you already have the top four from the finals, person X and Y get 5th= ...unless we get the chance to run more heats.
Now my head hurts - hope it makes sense. I was wondering if there is a waterproof/sandproof laptop available next time to run the event placing logarithm.
Apologies for the delay in the results. I did not get a chance until Tuesday to sit down with the sheets for an hour and go through them all fro all heats and divisions. You would not believe how close it was - a split decision amongst the 5 judges. And only a point separated 3rd and 4th
Give me a PM and I can go through it if you like.
Thanks Brett, scored gerroa sick on friday as well. Gave the leggy to matt c to give to you, figured he'd see you up at longy before I would. Thanks for the loan. You goin up to woolgoolga?
Had a top weekend. The kids had a ball too.
Was thinking about entering the masters but glad I didnt.
I think 4th for an old donk like me was excellent especially with all these young whipper snappers coming through. Good to be back at Gerroa after a 6 month layoff and to catch up with long time friends.![]()
Cheers
Just speaking to Adrian G and he put some video on youtube.
Search for "Dirty Dog Classic".
Good job Adrian, keep them coming.
Cheers

Rob,
Thanks for the video info - Adrian, nicely put together but you forgot to video the first Ams heat (I'm guessing it may just be on the cutting room floor
).
Can't wait till Woopi, it's a top place and always a great weekend.
don't think he pulled the video out until the finals due the fact he was sailing up til then. Nice work I thought to do some filming after he was knocked out. Good to see Adrian.
Any video of a days sailing is good to see, whether you're in it or not! I'd be happy to film a heat as long as my heat wasn't the next one coming up. Just need a camera.
