I certainly read the post, no worries there. I've done Toowoon Bay too many times in hope of scoring something decent. So Jimmy, your challenge will remain open for a long time as I prefer to sail cross-on than be continually dissapointed at that lame joint. It's occassionally ok for a jump. Oh but I don't ever venture out the back... That would be too hardcore.
DUDE! so many other spots to sail down here! That would be like me saying the only place to sail in Newy is Nobbys.I agree with you toowoon is so hard to score when its just right. Oddly always seems to be Monday mornings. I have at least half a dozen other spots i have been riding for the last season or two. They are pretty sketchy spots and almost always involve swimming though many rewards to be had. You should come sail with me sometime maybe I can change your mind!...And i usually have a fridge well stocked for post wavesailing beers.
....I am rather protective of the central coast and don't like to see people bagging my home spots I spend almost all my spare time looking for new spots to ride and am always stoked just to ride somewhere new. Just so im clear, I have sailed all over Australia and the world and some of the best waves ive had have been at home. Its not like sailing maui or indo its not mechanical if anything its mysterious the best days you maybe get an hour of perfection followed by 2 hours hating life and a trashed set of gear.I suppose that's why I'm only one of a handful of guys still sailing on the coast people just lose motivation they cant be bothered swimming, they aren't prepared to break there gear and the don't want to spend all day driving on the off chance of finding perfection. Where as windsurfing is my life and i love the search just as much as the reward.
One last thing this is not a pissing contest for me i really don't care if people believe what i say or not this is by all means a very stupid discussion I know what I ride. I know what the coast has to offer. The real point I'm trying to make is a lot of the time things your searching for are right in front of you , you just have to look a little harder to see them.
