If no one wants to organise it why not see if the organises of the Ledge to Lencelin weekend wave comp would consider turning this state round into the national comp.
The existing event has a huge turn out with media coverage and all facilities are already in place, just a suggestion.
And if we would consider holding this year's Nats in November, some have suggested before or after the Corona Classic (ex Mambo). So that got me thinking....
Is there any reason why the Corona Classic couldn't
be the Nats? Everyone already goes to it - infact more sailors from interstate come (and I think possibly having lots of notice that the event is on is very helpful in encouraging a good turnout). Also, they have great prizes already and the atmosphere is great - lots of stalls and demo gear etc. The only issue is would they consider having a more "traditional/structured" competition ie heats. They could still have an expression session etc
