Seems like it may be OK NNW to NW tomorrow.
Anybody keen for a Greens Beach sail?
I will probably be there from 10 am.
Hey Luka!
Can't tomorrow but will be able to sail Friday if the wind is up.
Saturday is shaping up to be a greens beach day also.
Perhaps we may be graced with the company of Huston ![]()

Keep me posted I may gracefully accept
Thought about telling Prue I had a conference in Lonny on Saturday but lying never works so I put it to her in a sort of grovel.......... "darling would you mind if I went sailing up north with my fwends Saturday" ............... I just got THAT look..............................might have to go back to the conference idea![]()
Hey Ant. Perhaps you could use. "Hey baby. My mate greenie is thinking about buying a farm to grow and sell eggs. He has purchased a farm close to greens beach and would like to meet up on sat morning about 9am.. Unless it's windy.....I me am raining"...![]()
Honesty is the best policy!
"As the president of WT I have a moral (as opposed to an amoral) obligation to head up to the north coast on the weekend and assess the northern contingent. I don't want to do it. I would much rather stay here with you and talk, but these guys are hopeless, they really need my help"
See - honesty - you are the president.
Looks like wind decided to hide for today, and save the full strength for possible Houston appearance Saturday.
Going to work instead of Greens Beach.
Hey Huston
Sat is looking good for greens. If it's on, I plan to be there about 9-9:30am.
Forecast NW winds 25-30 knots. ![]()

Very tempted to come up. Wind down here forecast 20-30knots but it's westerly and will be gusty so I'll bet Carlton won't work that well.
Anyone else from the south keen to help with the driving, leave 7am be there 10am , rig up, on water 10.30, sail 4 hours, leave 3pm home 6pm.
Greens is more than it's cracked up to be, well worth the effort.
Back at 6pm doesn't leave much time or energy for crackerjacks party where's your focus, drinking or sailing .This use to be a sailing club with a drinking problem now it's becoming a VW van targa club but I guess ,the only way to make it windy ( it works all over planet)is to be hungover so we have no choice Mother Nature makes these rules
Looks good at greens now - there should be a few people turning up soon.
Few of us going to paperbeach too around lunch time probably.
Hiya,
Looking for somewhere to go today...
Paperbeach - that's swan point right? OK for semi beginner? Where do you launch from?
Cheers,
Phil
Hey Phil
We will be sailing the northern side. Looking up the River to the bridge. Hopefully a NW of 20 kts. The trees are just starting to move here now so BRING IT ON!
Cheers
Steve
Cool, I live on other side of the bridge!! At least if i get stuck i can swim home sortof....
Wind picking up here as well :)
Phil
Got a call from Greenie today he reckons this Thurs will be on again at Greens, Relic and I planning a trip, anyone one else going up?
Keep watching that forecast. The recent budget has both slashed wind-reliability, and has seen met officers replaced with chimpanzees. I don't know why they couldn't just close a few more hospitals instead...
The forecasts are all over the place right up until the last minute at the moment so you southerners probably need a plan, and be prepared not to stick to it.
This mornings graph looks a little better than yesterdays so it is currently heading in the right direction. And as we all know, Greens in a solid NW is a BEAUTIFUL thing! Anyone who hasn't tried it, really should.
I have Thursday morning free.! I may finally come and have a sail at Greens, as I've been planning to do so for ages........
Still lookin goid![]()
