I'm going to Livingstons Bay, the swell down here is going to 7 to 9 metres Sat night with good westerlys both days it will be too big out the back reefs but the ribbon weed areas inside will have some sweet jumps and rides.
had another nice 12 to 18 SE with some great jumps this arvo thats 2 in a row.

Fyi, I had my first sail from the spit on the lake at Beachport last friday - very marginal and non-planing for a bit until a bit of wind came through & got about 40mins of solid breeze. I'm not sure what the norm is, but it looks like the water level is a bit low? Had a 100m walk to get past the weed & onto sailing ground (big sail & fin).

It's a shame the wind didn't come through over the weekend and the surf was ordinary, otherwise we would've had a crack at the outer reef!

Anyone keen on Waitpinga on sat if wnw - bit more swell maybe a better option than dribs or goolwaaa - and there's safety in numbers

Wouldnt it be too sheltered in a NW Russ?

I had an email from someone who sailed it the other week in a nnw'r and they said it was pretty good - I've surfed it so many times on a windy nw'r over the years and believe me the wind gets in - no different to the street really - just we always go to there by default.

Might be a solo mission

The surfers don't mind surfing in our area when we have a wave comp at day street so I Don't think they'll mind if we blast through their comp zone.

Its a big beach.

Sunday might be the day - swellnet 2-3foot with fresh to strong wnw goin sw

Saturday 9th April
Inconsistent W'ly swell around an infrequent 1-2ft at Middleton and 2ft+ at Goolwa and Waits. Expect long waits between sets. Moderate NW winds, tending gusty W/NW during the a'noon.

Sunday 10th April
Tricky outlook due to model divergence. Most likely mix of close-range swells around 2-3ft at Middleton and 3-4ft at Goolwa and Waits. Fresh to strong W/NW winds, tending W/SW during the day.

Imagine a whole weekend of wave sailing!!!!!

Tied up with other stuff most of the weekend - but my pick is Kent Reserve Sun Arvo - S'lies, High tide at 5 pm, 5 foot means there should be plenty of cross on wave riding and jumps over the reefs!

Fun little offshore bareaways at day street this arvo - 0-20 knts - float and ride - really hard to catch waves - Harry managed a wave on each tack and ended up near the point
- awesome to get back onto the proper wave sailing tack!!!! Fingers crossed for the early one at day st - the swells on the up - the sets were slowly gettin bigger this arvo
