Whats the dimensions onthe 107
A bit of Dany Bruch on the 107 in some mid coast style onshore pooh waves - looks like it works nicely
I think I may be in need of a big boy toy after no sailing or riding for 6 weeks.... plus a wedding and honeymoon with **** loads of beer and fryed food! I am now the heaviest I have ever been at 76 KG..... ![]()

I was 76kg when I was 12.....want hurt you to put on some beef
Once your married a 10kg weight gain is expected - add 5-10kg each child (eating their leftovers)
Better keep that 98 freestyle hail

Russ if that's the case I'm in more S#1T then Batman? On your figures I'll be needing a 120lt as my 'standard' board and a 140lt as a light wind machine ![]()

I'm 78kg mate and can't get any on.
a 5.4 and a 90L thruster is big for me
You need one pilly, will save you walking so much![]()
Max from Port Fairy had a Nude chopper sent to me this week from WA and he picked it up yesterday, it was 115lt, 220cm and 60cm wide. he reckons it will work in 12-15k. Nice looking board if a bit fat. Got me thinking for a future purchase.
Never thought I'd consider it down here but it would be a good option during the next few months of puss wind strengths until the fronts start rolling through.
How's the apprentices going? ready for waves yet?
What's the fin set up Ty?
Thruster / twin ...
Loved the 87L bbox ,but this 107L bbox is going to rock in 10 to 20knts
Can't wait to get it home![]()

yeah, ones in the waves already, others a little way to go yet.
Been hitting the big ones at Jones, not a bad spot for us.
Probably not off enough for you.
107 litres, 110 litres. Sounds like volumes of round the world yachts.
65kgs...think i might have to eat the cream buns Zac.
Josh f, do the maths. 87 kg on a 92 litre board probably feel similar to a 92 kg guy on a 100 litre board. If you want to sail and have a bit of fun I really light winds the you want a bit of float and the way the shapers are able to hide the volume, why not drift on the surface! Bondy, you could ride a 68 litre board, lucky you! My 100 litre board turns as good as my old 94 and the 94 was one of my most favourite board ever. My weight hasn't changed in 10 years so just goes to show, high volume boards are getting better and better.
My favourite board is still my tuna. 130 odd litres and catches glassy waves in under 10 knots. Foam is your friend when conditions are really light

Excellent promo for the new Starboards if your favorite board is scotty's abortion.... hahahaha
I have had the pleasure of riding the Tuna and can confirm its defiantly the greatest light wind creation ever made in the history of windsurfing boards.
How does the black box jump?????
Yeah the black box jumps fine . It's a sick board but I'm 90 kg so it's not really a light wind option for me.

I'm 90kg+ too, what litre board should I be looking at if 107l won't suffice?
Maybe I'll steal Ty's off him when he's down next to have a crack, bend it and you mend it rule will apply I'm sure

All good pilchard...
You need two boards...for us heavy weights
Around 100L board 15 to 25knts
Around 80L board 25knts plus
That's my take on boards

My blackbox is the 87. 107 should be ample volume. The 87 works great as long as there is a constant breeze but Middleton is never constant .
I can see the sales slogan now:
107L... for the guy that hates being with his family. Maximum water time guaranteed.

I agree. There is no such thing as one board fits all. u need a bigger one that can float you but also fly around in 15-20 then a smaller board for when its constant and 20+ knots. everyone knows nothing beats a small stick in 25+ that does not bounce around and can handle the wind.
