Plenty of wind this morning good to see half a dozen on the water - but the swell deserted us - very scarce chest high sets with 15-25knts at U's

Chris and Jaob were blasting at Triggs in 35knts about 330pm - looked like they were out of control on 4.2's.

Looks like more wind for the next three days - snaps fri arvo and fitness testing at Middleton Sat morning........

A short session at U-turns was the first time I've been in the water in ages.
Too bad my 20 minutes of sailing turned into 4 hours in the emergency department followed by the next 6 weeks in another ****in cast!
I think I've got chalk for bones!!!

**** Tony, that’s not good at all. Your foot didn't look to bad, it pays to get an x-ray.

I should have gone to work today. I was at U-Turn soon before 9, Russh was out not doing a lot. Went home, I came back around 12:30 sailed for 20mins on 5.3 and then the wind died when the rain came. Winter sailing can be hit and miss.

Yeah I know, I thought it was just going to be a sprain or badly bruised but thought I'd get it checked just in case.
Bugger about the wind, I thought we'd get a great sail in today.
Hopefully you get the wind and waves align some time over the weekend.
I'll be keener than ever after another layoff!

Sorry to hear about the foot Tony what a bas#$%d

Dzub- there was wind from after you left - me Marti, Dr Duck spearsy and Muzza were having a blast - all were overpowered by 1030- you should have hung around - dropped out when I first went out - nearly had paddle me gear in at 830. - At least you didn't miss too much in the swell dept.

Sorry Chris, I had a look from uturns, took miy camera in the car, but took one look and saw the conditions, flat water totally white capped out, you guys not doing much spekky and lots of sandblasting. my camera is the only thing I have to earn some money, (apart from my palate) so if there was more swell it may have been worth it but I made the call not to take subject my equipment to THAT. Unlike you

I had a sail at snapper in the arvo with 5.3. It was ok. At least I got in the water, little waves, rain, that was before the front.

Tony so sorry to hear about your foot. How did it happen?
My foot is still crunching from November when I rolled my ankle (after the learners day just walkin along)if I walk straight down muddy cliffs, or in the soft sand, or over the Seacliff rocks, but its prob ligaments I'm thinking.

Thanks Dave & Susie,
Probably out for 6 weeks... unless it's real good conditions before then
It was just one of those weird things, wasn't doing anything exciting. My board was trying to backloop, my sail was trying to forward loop and I was just along for the ride The footstraps I use are awesome except when you need to get your foot out in a hurry. I've crashed plenty of times and finished in the water with my foot still stuck in the strap, as it did this time, but my foot bones obviously aren't as strong as the straps! I think it's time to change back to the normal ones!

The cast is off 5 weeks to go
Miss out on testing the new 2010 sails, but will be back firing well before the new board arrives!
Bring it on!!!
