Its a bit of a long way away - theyre calling 25 knt nne for local waters - time to book your sickies - swellnet have got a small swell possible at the mid 1-2ft but will update on Monday
On holidays so will definately be on it if anyones looking for a sail - low tide at 1030ish so swell should kick with incoming tide - if there is any
Wonder how quickly the report will change back to 8-13 knts!!!!!!!
Yeah Russh. I am keen as.
Looks like wind on Friday as well, starting to feel sick already. ha ha
Your on holidays again, I would love to be on holidays......Maui, Maurtius or WA would do. I wish!
CH-CHING!!
OH so hope it will be cranking thursday friday. Every time I check its getting better.
The only shame will be the lack of water across the reefs.
Russ I've booked thursday off work so I'll be in touch so we can Hook up.
Can't wait lets hope the forecast stays good![]()
hoping for enough RDO hours!! fingers crossed just going to check... if so i will join you for sure!!!
Swell is looking a bit small for Thursday. Hit it early.
Maybe Friday is a better day for me to take a Flexi. They have just changed to forecast, are they starting to down grade it??
Wednesday will probably be the best swell wise - but who knows - friday & saturday ARE looking OK - but hey its six days away - probably be no wind by the time we get there.
I can't wait guys, I can sail thursday friday and sunday but have a wedding on saturday. Lets make sure we all catch up and have a great session together.
It was nice running into you today darren.
Vikki's keen to come down thursday if it looks good for some swell and take photo's, let us know Susie if your thinking about heading down too, Vikki would love some one to play with.![]()

Susie I wil be down the Mid tommorow or thursday sailing hopefully, Im relying on you to get me some good photo's :) LOL no pressure HAH !!!!
I will be around tomorrow looking for a sail, what time are you guys thinking of hitting the water??
I will be sailing on Monday if the forecast still looks good, is anyone keen?
Might join you people at Snapper on Saturday after a morning sail at Seacliff.
People at my work think I am a idiot taking flexi days when it is going to be windy and wet. They will never understand.
Hi darren
I'll be hitting the water as soon as possible tomorrow,
Hopefully get a wave somewhere either the mid or down south what are you keen for
sounds great darren Ill be in a little silver rav 4. Ill aim to meet you downa that way at 10. I think Vikki's coming down to get some piccies too.
When are you sailing tomorrow susie?
I am planing to be on it around 9 930 unless it is windy early
Weds Update not in till 4pm :MID COAST Thu: Very inconsistent 1ft+ waves with basically flat conditions inbetween the sets. Moderate NE winds, swinging more N/NW during the afternoon.
Fri: Fresh NW/WNW winds ahead of a fresh WSW change at some stage during the day (check back Wed). Building stormy windswell with wave potential unkown but most likely sloppy 1ft early, building to the 2-3ft mark late in the day.
SOUTH COAST Thu: Very inconsistent 2ft waves along the Surfers stretch with the odd bigger set early and 3-4ft waves at W and P, steadying to the 2ft mark during the day with moderate NE winds swinging more NW during the afternoon. Expect a long wait between the set waves with much smaller waves inbetween.
Fri: Inconsistent 1.5ft waves along the Surfers with 2-3ft waves at W and P, increasing to the 2ft mark late. Fresh WNW/NW winds ahead of a fresh WSW change during the mid to late morning (check back Wed for more accurate timing)
Day street in the arvo might be OK - with the rain band coming around lunch it may just turn off completely - only Huey really knows!!
The next 4-5 days r looking great.
But don't ya find your self over analysing all the weather info.
i.e. checking wind speed, direction, wave height, exact time winds picking up etc.
(every five minutes)
I liked the old days when you would check the weather the night before or you would check the weather charts.
youre hitting the nail on the sensitive head here Mclovin,1.5ft down sth is 3ft pumping at the mid![]()
Swellnet,is an embarassment for calling size at the mid on day reports if you rely on this,i dont but the reporter needs recalibrating,,,,,,,its a pet hate of mine!!
one ft an above is all you need for a fun session windsurfing but if that ft is ankle height its FLAT
Give me a nice head high reef break over friggin Day street any day - 99% of the time it's a fat gusty puss hole - can't stand surfing it and sailing it is way over rated - i still don't understand why crew don't sail Waits if Day street is that small
Seaford last june
Wow,
Yep its gusty and sometimes gutless and if the mid is on, it's better BUT,
If its WNW and 3 foot or better, where else are you going to sail? Boggy lake?
You guys want to wave sail or what? Less whinging please.......
personally i reckon d street is better, like scottymac says wnw its, great conditions, long rides and spread out,i dont need top to bottom conditions to have good session,(not that the mid has this)its a user friendly beach but can be harder workthan the mid,
Saw mike from onbd sail waits years ago russ ,got pumelled, wind dropped and took ages to swim in thru rip,
gustier than d street my guess and big rips.
